Flash FM• We originally chose the name Flash news but
after doing a focus group we found that people preferred Flash FM simply because they thought flash news was too boring
• Name: Flash FM. Flash has connotations of quick and fast which will appeal to young people as we found in our research youngsters don’t want to watch boring long news casts
• This reinforces our slogan “giving you your news in a flash” as we are going to deliver our news fast and speedily
Aim• Our sole purpose is to make news
fun for young people • Giving the youth a voice so were
going to have young people speak in our news cast

drugs/ homelessness• Appeal to a range of
audiences: different people like to hear about different things
