The property is dominant feature on the west side of the waterfront.
The main wooden structure gives views to the north and south. The single story wooden shed at the end of the pier also gives views to the east side of the harbour.
Landscape
The main timber building was used as a fishery. The upper levels were used to accommodate fishermen, in a series of interconnected rooms. The lower level was used to prepare for line fishing.
Historical
The main wooden building retains much of the original layout, materials, paint, and internal fittings, later adaptions are apparent. The front section of the building has a concrete floor as does the adjacent single story shed at the end of the pier.
