Lot 20/109 & 20/111 bought by Jørn Jensen in 2012

The property is dominant feature on the west side of the waterfront.

The main wooden structure gives views to the north and south. The single story wooden shed at the end of the pier also gives views to the east side of the harbour.

Landscape

The main timber building was used as a fishery. The upper levels were used to accommodate fishermen, in a series of interconnected rooms. The lower level was used to prepare for line fishing.

Historical

The main wooden building retains much of the original layout, materials, paint, and internal fittings, later adaptions are apparent. The front section of the building has a concrete floor as does the adjacent single story shed at the end of the pier.

Ongoing programOratunga Contemporary Experimental Arts (OCEA) Program sees regional, urban

and international artists together with local community members and leading artistic provocateurs working for an intensive period in an outback sheep station in remote Flinders

Ranges, on the land of Oratunga.

The Exploraboratories explore land, culture, communities, hidden spaces, closed histories, and the nature and need for collaboration, artists (who may also be scientists, ecologists,

sociologists) interrogate these enquiries under the guidance of leading artist-provocateurs.Supported residencies vary according to need of the artist-group and time of year.
