road users. FirstCar publishes a number of titles, printing

over two million magazines annually. It has a

complementary website, firstcar.co.uk. All the brands are tailored specifically to new road users, with an underlying road safety angle.

FirstBike was launched in May 2014 to fill the gap in the market for new bikers, utilising FirstCar’s excellent links within the road safety community. It was a huge success and was well received by both readers and advertisers too.

The magazineFirstBike is an annual, 52-page, A5 magazine written by experts and full of useful information covering a whole range of biking topics. It's designed to inform, enthuse, engage and excite young bikers who are currently learning to ride or have just started out on two wheels. The areas covered include:

■ How to get started■ Passing your test first time■ Buying advice■ Insurance■ Maintenance■ Kit, clothing and accessories■ Training aids

The magazine communicates effectively with all riders at the very start of their motorcycling career, those that are very hard-to-reach. This new biking audience is in prime buying mode for all things biking; their first 50cc moped, their first 125cc bike, bike insurance, tuition, learning aids, biking kit, clothing and equipment, etc.

FirstBike delivers key advertising messages to this impressionable audience, cost-effectively at a key time. There is no better time to engage

with these bikers, as they become independent riders for the very first time.

Target marketFirstBike is the only magazine on the market aimed at new bikers; those just starting their motorcycling career. Aimed at 16-24 year olds, FirstBike targets bikers from 16 as they take their CBT right through to qualifying for their A1, A2 and full A licence.

Distribution75,000 copies are distributed nationwide annually. FirstCar Limited has a unique, award-winning distribution network of road safety teams that purchase FirstBike in bulk and distribute copies via the schools, colleges, universities, retailers and motorcycle events, which they attend. They also penetrate select CBT centres.

The magazine is used as a valuable engagement tool when communicating key motorcycle safety issues. By working closely with more than 140 road safety teams we offer unrivalled access to this hard-to-reach group of young bikers.
