BackgroundFirstCar Limited is the UK’s market-leading, road safety publishing company. Producing award-winning magazines for over a decade, FirstCar stands alone, targeting new road users.

FirstCar currently publishes three annual titles, totalling 1.7million magazines and has a complementary website, firstcar.co.uk. All of these are tailored specifically to the youth motoring market, with a road safety angle. FirstCar is building on its excellent links within the road safety community and sound publishing platform to launch into the motorbike sector with FirstBike.

FirstBike will fill the gap in the market to

communicate effectively with all riders at the very start of their riding career. FirstBike will effectively communicate with this hard-to-reach set of new bikers in a unique and engaging way, allowing key advertising messages to reach this impressionable audience, cost-effectively.

This new biking audience is in prime buying mode for all things biking; their first 50cc moped, their first 125cc bike, bike insurance, tuition, learning aids, biking kit, clothing and equipment, etc. There is no better time to engage with these bikers as they become independent riders for the first time. FirstBike reaches them at this pivotal stage of their journey.

FIRSTBIKE The magazineFirstBike is an annual, 52-page, A5 magazine full of useful information and expert advice covering a whole range of biking topics. It's designed to inform, enthuse, engage and excite readers who are currently learning to get on two wheels. The areas covered include:

Target marketFirstBike is the only magazine on the market aimed at new bikers; those just starting their motorcycling career. Aimed at 16-24 year olds, FirstBike targets bikers from 16 as they take their CBT right through to qualifying for their A1, A2 and full A licence.

Distribution100,000 copies will be distributed over a 12-month period via road safety teams throughout the UK. We have excellent links with these teams and already successfully sell copies of other FirstCar titles via this network. The magazine will be used as an engagement tool when the road safety teams

are communicating road safety issues around motorcycling.

Using the road safety teams as our distribution route, we can access this group of bikers via the schools, colleges, universities and other events, which they attend, as well as penetrating CBT centres.
