First Sunday in Lent March 1, 2020 8:30 & 11:00 am Welcome…Lent begins with a solemn call to fasting and repentance as we remember our journey to the baptismal waters of Easter. During Lent the people of God will reflect on the meaning of their baptism into Christ’s death and resurrection. This past Wednesday we began the season with the mark of ashes, remembering our human mortality and frailty. What seems like an ending is really an invitation to make each day a new beginning, in which we are washed in God’s mercy and forgiveness. With the cross on our brows and recalling Jesus’ temptation, we begin our Lenten journey. Join us for refreshments and fellowship in the Gathering Space following worship.

Please stand, as able, for those acts of worship marked with an asterisk*.
