  • NATO PERSONALDECONTAMINATION KITS

    DKP1 & DKP2NATO APPROVED

    FIRST RESPONSE DECONTAMINATION

  • DANGERS OF EXPOSUREProtecting those who Serve & Protect

The Governments “Zero Harm” Policyseeks to ensure “That all employeesreturn home at the end of each shiftin the same condition that they started.”

As Military and Emergency Service Personnel, thereare risks of Contamination that may result from:

    • Deliberate release of biological materials, chemicals & radioactivity.• Improvised Radiological Devices (Dirty Bombs)• Deliberate use of nuclear or improvised nuclear devices.• Other terrorists acts.• Unintentional releases.• Materials in transit & incidents at sea.• Industrial & commercial sites, laboratories & hospitals.• Exposure to infectious diseases such as MRSA, Tuberculosis, HIV and more.• Exposure to saliva, vomit, faeces, urine & blood.

The importance of early decontamination cannot be over emphasized. Decontamination of the skin and clothing should be accomplished quickly if it is to be fully effective. Maximum benefit of this will be achieved within fifteen minutes of exposure, i.e. in the period before any CBRN specialists are likely to have arrived on scene.

Research also shows that dry decontamination, the blotting and rubbing of exposed skin surfaces with dry absorbent material, is the most effective means and for non-caustic agents on this basis they recommend that dry decontamination should be considered the default process for an incident involving most chemicals.

Whether a Soldier on the frontline, a Police Officer transporting a suspect, a Fire & Rescue Officer attending a road traffic accident, an Ambulance Officer treating a patient, we have the ability with Rapid Response CBRN kits to “Protect those, who Serve and Protect.”

“The most important and most effective decontamination of any chemical exposureis that decontamination is done within the first minute or two after exposure.

This is self-decontamination and this early action will make the differencebetween survival and death or severe injury.”

  • THE FORCE OF PROTECTIONNATO Decontamination Kits will save lives

There are 2 Decontamination Kits available

Kits contain clear easy to understand instructions.

Nato approved Decontamination kits DKP1 & DKP2 are an essential part of military equipment that have been tried, trusted and used for over 75 years. The Decontamination Kits can be used for any CBRN incident. They provide personal protection from chemical & bodily fluid contaminants.

The Kit contains Fullers Earth, naturally occurringsedimentary clay composed mainly of alumina, silica, iron oxides, lime, magnesia and water, in variable proportions.

The decontamination process involved, is the physical removal of the agent from surfaces, skin, clothing, footwear etc.
