Following the Police Services Review and community feedback, Council is taking the next step forward in creating an independent RCMP detachment. Approvals will be sought from the RCMP’s Deputy Commissioner and the Minister of Public Safety and Solicitor General. Staff are preparing a business case that recommends either a renovation of the existing Community Policing Office or the construction of a new detachment building.
Our community came together to enjoy the free fun activities, games, cotton candy and more at Pitt Meadows Family Day Circus on February 17 at the Family Recreation Centre.
Pitt Meadows Art Gallery’s Artistic Playground exhibit featured works of art from Pitt Meadows Secondary and Edith McDermott Elementary students between February 1 and March 29.
Crews were busy salting and keeping roads and sidewalks safe and clear during the months of January and February due to heavier than normal snowfall.
