This past Sunday, Luke and Miney Wright, transferred their membership from another United Methodist Church in Bartlett, TN. We welcome Luke and Miney, parents of Dr. Luke Wright, to Jackson and to FUMC.

Youth Church League Basketball Hoopin’ it Up!
by Marilynn EblenFUMC has four teams playing in Church League Basketball this season with a total of 42 players! • Middle School Boys – Coach Michelle Matlock• Middle School Girls (playing in the HS division!) - Coach Carrie Rudy• High School Girls – Coach Jamie Sullivan • High School Boys – Coach Mychal Hunt Check out the game schedule posted on the bulletin board by the gym office and go cheer our kids on!! Most games are played right here in our gym or at Westwood Gardens Recreation Center. Check the schedule for the details of time and location. It’s the best free entertainment in town and your support makes a huge difference to our players.

The Great Day of Service provides the opportunity to serve the local community as a disciple of Christ. With over 15 projects, either at the church or in the community, this is a great time to have fun and fellowship while fulfilling the needs of those around us.
Sign up will begin in February. Also, we will need volunteers to help with sign up tables after each service throughout February and March. If you would like to take on this service role, please email Heather Taylor at [email protected].
