Who and what is FireClass?
Designed and engineered in Europe, FireClass technology
is part of Tyco International, the world leader in fire and
security solutions. Tyco has been specialising in fire detection
control equipment for the last 50 years. Our team of expert
engineers and designers have been developing fire detection
solutions for a wide range of environments from simple
conventional systems to complex integrated systems for
hazardous industrial installations.
FireClass is a revolutionary new class of commercial fire detection system. Comprising a comprehensive range of fully approved quality products designed and manufactured in Europe, FireClass is designed to appeal to both the end user and installer. It is the latest fire detection technology packaged as an easy to install, out-of-the-box, digital open-protocol solution.

Fully Approved
The digital protocol has been used in the marine and
offshore industries for over 20 years and has been
proven to withstand poor, damp and damaged cables in
the most hostile environments. FireClass uses a robust
digital protocol that supports various wiring configurations
to simplify installation and retrofit applications easily.
FireClass is flexible for all types of environments where
people, property and asset protection is important, from
schools and hospitals to offices, industrial and retail premises.

In order to ensure peace of mind for both the installer and
end user, FireClass products are third party approved and
certified to the relevant European standards. FireClass
approvals go beyond the minimum requirements including
EN54 approval of the FireClass network, EN54 detector
approval in all detection modes and dual EN54 detection and
EN12094 gas releasing approvals on the Prescient panels.
Ease of installation and engineering underpins the concept
of FireClass. It runs throughout the product range.
For example panel installation is simplified by allowing
electronics to be easily removed for first fix while simple
user-friendly configuration software and fault finding tools
speed up commissioning.
Field device installation is simplified through the flexibility
of the FireClass digital protocol and other features such
as the ceiling tile adaptor that can significantly speed up
detector installation.
FireClass Fire Alarm
Control PanelsFireClass provides a broad range of
detection solutions. FireClass conventional fire detection products range from the
low cost DuoCEL 2 zone panel to the powerful and expandable 32 zone
Precept EN. These are complemented by an
enviable range of conventional fire detectors and accessories focused on providing comprehensive protection and minimum false alarms.
The FireClass Addressable fire detection products range from the easily installable out-of-the-box stand alone FireClass FC501 to the 4 loop FireClass FC64 and FC240 networked open protocol fire alarm control panels with optional FireClass graphics. FireClass Addressable uses a powerful digital open-protocol for high reliability and flexibility
in installation.

Gaseous Release Control PanelsThe FireClass range of extinguishing release control panels provide status/ event indication and manual release functionality.
Conventional Control Panels FireClass conventional technology ranges from the Duo-CEL 2 zone panel up to the versatile and adaptable Precept EN 32 zone panel.
Addressable Control PanelsThe FireClass Addressable comprises the entry level triple circuit single loop panel FC501 with 128 addresses and the 1 to 4 loop panels with up to 250 addresses per loop, and from 32 to 240 zones per panel and up to 7 fully functional repeaters per panel and 24 panels networked together.
FireClass Addressable SoundersA wide range of addressable sounders and bells are available with high sound output characteristics. Easy to install, hence lowering installation time and costs, the sounders with their clean modern style are suitable for a wide range of environments. The range also includes weatherproof units for outdoor use.
Sounders and BeaconsFireClass has a comprehensive range of sounders and beacons with a wide selection of sounds to match new and existing applications.
FireClass Detection RangeResilience to false alarms is highly important for any detection system. The FireClass range of high quality optical smoke and multi-sensor smoke detectors and triple sensor detectors provide the ultimate in false alarm rejection. With “two-detectors-in-one” this allows various false alarm reduction strategies and the Day/Night mode reduces false alarms when the building is occupied.
The FireClass range of detectors include separate optical and heat, combined optical and heat, and Triple Sensing technology combining CO, optical and heat in one detector.
Detector bases and accessories The range of standard, isolator,sounder and sounder/beacon basescan be programmed via a downloadto adjust volume and tone. The analogue addressable indoor and outdoor call-points are suitablefor many environments.

FireClass Graphics SoftwareFCG - FireClass Graphics is based on a graphical alarm monitoring system that has been installed on many large fire detection and alarm monitoring systems around the world and provides annunciation, status display, and control for FireClass networks.
This Microsoft Windows® based graphical interface with a high resolution colour display includes responsive on-screen buttons with configurable icons to control switches specific to the operation required. Utilising a combination of symbols, floor plans, pictures, text, voice messages and video input, FCG displays the precise location and gives instructions on what emergency action should be taken. A detailed map of the area affected can be printed automatically for use by emergency response personnel.
FireClass Loop Programmer The FireClass programming tool allows the fire alarm engineer to quickly address detectors, callpoints and accessories and also provides useful diagnostic functions. Not only saving time, but providing valuable device information, the LCD screen displays confirmation of the device address and can also provide status information with sensor readings in degrees C, percentage obscuration of smoke and carbon monoxide levels in parts per million.
