•I found Skype very beneficial to my overall project, as I was able to get in contact with a professional script writer, (Dudi Appleton) off whom I spoke to, to gain valuable information and feedback on my script, which enabled me to develop it further and make it as effective and realistic as possible.

•In the development and research stages of my film, I used Prezi to document my ideas. I found this programme effective as it allows you to create and present your work in a lively and interactive fashion, also the layout is effective and is an efficient way of present elements and tasks of work.

Prezzi

•I used this social network to gain research, I was able to brainstorm and create a clip board full of Poster and Magazine designs, allowing m to gain and explore ideas for my promotional poster.

•I used this media site to record the conversation I had over Skype with the script writer, this was an effective site which was straightforward and quick to learn how to use. It was also efficient and easy to upload my sound clip on to blogger.

•YouTube has been an essential tool throughout, I have used this website to watch tutorials on how to edit using the new adobe Premier, also watching clips to support and allow me to gain knowledge on certain areas such as film distribution. It was also essential as had to upload all feedback videos and our final short film on to this website.

•Slideshare has played a key role in my research stages, as has a lot of valuable information on its site, uploaded and published by the public. I found it an effective website as had the most relevant answers and explanations to questions that I have needed answering.

•Google/Internet has been a valuable tool throughout my project, allowing me to research new techniques and gain knowledge, also allowing me to access other essential websites such as YouTube, so that I was able to upload and share my work and gain feedback on my products.

•Overall the blog format was successful, although had a few technical difficulties along the way, was easily over come. I feel that I have been able to upload and present my work effectively in an organised manor, using a variety of media techniques. Strengths – efficient Layout, variety and easy to keep work in an orderly fashion. Weaknesses – public and un accessible on a majority of school computers .

Adobe PremiereAs a group we self taught ourselves how to use

Adobe Premiere, from watching online tutorials. Myself and Mollie used this software to edit a

practice montage together to gain expertise before creating the real piece. This programme allowed us to edit our footage efficiently to the

most professional standard possible.

Flip CamcorderI frequently used a flip camera throughout my coursework, specifically to gain feedback in a

quick and easy manner. The camcorder allowed me to record visual responses to my products

that I could easily upload straight to the computer and on to YouTube, with no hassle.

Although the quality of the camera wasn't amazing it was still an effective from of

equipment.

PhotoshopI used Photoshop to edit and create my film

promotional poster and my double page magazine spread. I was able to easily use this

software as have had previous experience with the programme. By using Photoshop I was able

to cut, crop photos and develop my designs effectively. It also aloud me to use the same

font for both my designs which has helped to integrate my products.

Digital CameraAs a group we used a Digital Cannon Camera to film the footage for the short film. I found the camera effective as was clear and produced a

great, high quality image, but the camera would only film the maximum time length of 15

seconds which did become inconvenient, but as a group we were able to overcome this, by

editing shots together in an appropriate manner.

Fiona AldwinBENEFITS OF MOVING FROM ANALOGUE

CAMERA TO DIGITAL CAMERA?

Overall Summary:

I found after working and filming using both analogue and digital cameras that Digital was overall more effective as was easier to upload footage straight from the camera, also allowed me to experiment with more techniques as the camera was easier to handle, as was much lighter then the analogue.

• More efficient using the Cannon digital camera as it records straight on to an SD card making it easy to uploaded, unlike with the analogue which recorded on to a tape. • When using the Digital Camera I found it simple to make corrections/adjustments while filming as camera had touch screen sensors. • I found the sound was much better on the Cannon, compared to using the boom mic with the analogue camera. • Using Digital has allowed my group to produce a more professional looking film as is in HD. • Overall better quality image, creating a more professional final piece.
