February is the time for all registered Republicans in Craven County to attend

their annual Precinct Meeting. YOU MUST ATTEND the Precinct Meeting to be

eligible to be a Delegate or Alternate at the 2019 Craven County Convention to

be held on March 23, 2019, 3rd District Convention and/or NC GOP State Con-

vention. Precinct Chair, Vice Chair & Secretary will be elected at these meetings

for the 2019 - 2021 Election cycle.

An Open/Unorganized Precinct Meeting will be held on February 21, 2019 at the

Stanly Hall Ballroom (2nd Floor), 249 Craven Street, in Downtown New Bern, NC

28560 from 5:00 PM - 6:00 PM, for the following Precincts:

Important Information regarding Resolutions

Concerning Resolutions, please note that any Resolutions will be posted on our county website at least 10 days before our convention as required by the State. The 2019 Convention Rules are available on the web-site www.cravengop.org .

The following is the procedure for anyone who wishes to bring a Resolution to the Convention:

Resolutions are the primary way to impact our County, District, and State Republican Party way of govern-ing. They are presented and voted on at our Annual County Convention. If passed, they are forwarded to the District Convention in the same format requesting the same action and if passed there, are presented and voted on at the State GOP Convention. If a Craven County Republican, Delegate, or Alternate wishes to submit a Resolution for consideration it must be submitted to the Resolutions Committee by March 10, 2019 or if presented without notice at the County convention must be accompanied by 125 copies of said Resolution(s) and shall be submitted to the Resolutions Committee Chairman for action. The Resolution Committee shall examine the Resolution(s), prepare it/them for presentation, if appropriate. Resolutions not accepted for presenta-tion at the Convention will be made at the next County Executive Committee meeting. For questions, refer to the Craven County Republican Party Plan of Organization posted on the county website.

The Resolutions Committee has established the following rules in accordance with the above: 1. All proposed resolutions must be delivered to the Resolutions Chair, Mary Griswold, in writing to 4807

Delft Drive, New Bern, NC 28562, no later than 5:00 PM on March 10, 2019. 2. No more than 2 resolutions per delegate may be submitted. 3. All resolutions shall be no more than two standard pages in resolution format, Ariel 10pt type or similar,

and normal margins. Printed on the bottom shall be the author, precinct and sponsors. 4. Resolutions from the floor must be submitted with 125 copies to the Resolutions Committee Chair one

hour before the start of the Convention. If approved, the resolutions will be distributed and voted on. 5. All resolutions require a two-thirds vote of the Resolutions Committee to be brought in front of the Con-
