• Education either functions as an instrument which is used to facilitate integration of the younger generation into the logic of the present system and bring about conformity or it becomes the practice of freedom, the means by which men and women deal critically and creatively with reality and discover how to participate in the transformation of their world.

• The first question which the priest and the Levite asked was: "If I stop to help this man, what will happen to me?" But... the good Samaritan reversed the question: "If I do not stop to help this man, what will happen to him?"

In this room right now, and You had extra food, would you share it.

Yes. Right?

SolidaritySolidarity

• Solidarity is a word that 田 alls attention to the simple and easily observable fact that people are interdependent; they rely on each other for almost all their biological and social needs… we cannot realize our full potential or appreciate the full meaning of our dignity unless we share our lives with others and cooperate on projects that hold the promise of mutual benefit.

• Fr Thomas Massaro, S. J.

• For your final project you will fulfill the last of the triad, Awareness, Analysis and Action, by going out into our community and finding a way to help. You will blend your interests, your resources and your want to help the world into a Service Project. This project will be entirely your own as long as it values service, betters society and builds community.
