Increasing support for the University through strong relations builds the foundation for a a better Institution

Important Facts:

1. Professional networking activities should be incorporated into the curriclum so that students are already connected to alumni networks before they graduate.

2. Social media plays an important role in connecting with alumni.

3. Alumni Associations play a key role in implemtenting alumni relation programs.

4. The higher the level of satisfaction with the academic experience, more likely alumni are to be involved with the university.

BUFFALO STATE THE STATE UNIVERSITY OF NEW YORK

Located on a 25-acre campus in the heart of Buffalo’s cultural corridor.Buffalo State has 100,000 alumni living in 119 countries throught the world. Ninety-seven percent live in the United States, and 71 percent live in New York State. The college is known for its strong community connections and continuing commitment to providing high-quality lifelong learning opportunities.

ALUMNI CENTERThe Alumni Center would give alumni their first visible “home” on campus. The center would be located on the corner of Grant St. and Letchworth St., it provides the only location on campus dedicated to bringing alumni together with each other and with students, faculty and friends. The center would include a much needed permanet home for the Alumni Association. Additionally, it serves as a place for networking, for pre- and post-game events, outdoor cermonies and more.

In providing an Alumni Center for Buffalo State, it will become a home for active alumni, increase the visibility of the Alumni Association, and strengthen the bonds between alumni and the campus community. It will serve as a front door to campus and a home away from home for

alumni. Having this Alumni Center will create the foundation for building strong relations between the alumni, students, and the institution itself. The space will become the

center for cultivating today’s students into tomorrow’s alumni.
