Final Announcement

Dear Colleagues and Friends

On behalf of the Indonesian Society of Hypertension, we would like to welcome you to this 8th Indonesian Hypertension Society Scientific Meeting.

Hypertension is still a major public health problem with its prevalence increasing worldwide. It was estimated that 972 million people suffered from high blood pressure in the year 2000 and the number is expected to increase up to 1.56 billion in 2025. In Indonesia, approximately 31,7% adults are diagnosed with hypertension. The disease-burden of hypertension is foreseen and anticipation for this prominent matter is a must for physicians.

Nowadays, despite the excellent array of effective and well-tolerated medications, control of hypertension has not been adequate. Many hypertensive patients have uncontrolled BP and their number continues to increase. These challenges demand compehensive management in both primary and refferal care; from preventive public health efforts to promote more effective, rational and evidence-based treatments. Hence, the theme for this year's event is :

“FIGHTING HYPERTENSION AT ALL LEVELS OF CARE”

We hope this event will provide more knowledge and insights to achieve optimal hypertension management that can be applicable in our daily practice.

thThe 10 Scientific Meeting of Indonesian Society of Hypertension committee invites you to submit your abstracts of original research which are related to the main topic of the congress or the hypertension field. The Scientific Abstract Reviewer Committee will evaluate and select the abstracts based on quality, clarity and relevance on the main topic or hypertension field.

Content of abstract may include portions of an original work which has thbeen submitted or presented elsewhere prior to the 10 InaSH Meeting

2016. Accepted abstracts will be selected for Oral, Moderated or Poster thPresentations. Abstracts will be published in the 10 InaSH Program Book

ABSTRACT SUBMISSION & GUIDELINES

General Policies1. All abstracts must be prepared according to the correct format and

requirements. Submissions will be returned to the author if not in the correct format and should be resubmitted to the committee with the exact format.

2. A b s t r a c t s s u b m i s s i o n w i l l o n l y b e r e c e i v e d o n l i n e t h r o u g h [email protected] or [email protected] at the latest on January 10, 2016.

3. Faxed or mailed hard-copy abstract or abstract sent on disc/CD will not be accepted.

4. There will be no limit to the number of abstracts for an author to submit.5. The Scientific Abstract Reviewer Committee will evaluate and select all

abstracts for Oral, Poster and Moderated Poster presentations.6. Notification of abstracts acceptance will be given to the presenting authors

via email at the latest on the end of January 20167. All presenting authors, whose abstracts are accepted, must be paid

registrants. Abstracts will not be processed until an abstract registration fee has been received.

8. Best oral and poster presentation will be announced and rewarded in the congress on February 14, 2016

B. Title Abstract titles should be concise and should not contain abbreviations. Please use Title Case and make sure to bold the entire title.
