The ehCOS Manchester Triage v3 system is based on a standardized triage approach to determine the priority of patients in the emergency room based on scientific clinical algorithm that optimizes the patient flow through the emergency care system.

Treatment order is established by the patient’s acuity based on well defined, standardized and hierarchical question.

The Manchester Triage System assigns five maximum waiting times for patients based on the severity of their condition, ranging from immediate care for critical conditions, to 240 minutes for non-urgent conditions.
