The Jaguar Speech Team begins the season

The speech team kicked off their season on January 15, at the Jaguar Jaunt in Dodge. The team had a successful day, and they placed first in overall team sweepstakes. With the next two meets getting snowed out, the team’s next meet was January 25. On the 25, at North Bend, they received first place in overall sweepstakes once again. Many of the members were also individual champions that day. Then, on February 1, the team traveled to the Bancroft-Rosalie tournament. This tournament was varsity only, so it was one of the tougher tournaments for some of the younger members. However, the team came through and produced many placings within the top six of each event. Coach Traci Sindelar’s comment on the season so far is, “Our Jaguar speech season is off to an interesting start. The appearance of a few snow storms and a different schedule than in previous years has pushed us into February with much of the season still ahead of us. But our fun group of team members is definitely keeping their coaches on their toes this season!.” The Jaguar Speech Team’s next meet is on Friday, February 14, at Wakefield.
