Laurens Baptist Association Mission Statement: The Laurens Baptist Association is committed to assisting the churches in fulfilling the Great Commission and serving others FROM YOUR ASSOCIATIONAL MISSIONARY So many are celebrating the New Year and what it holds for them. Some are making New Years resolutions that they probably will not keep. For many, they are looking for 2016 to be a better year for them. They think that they will be able to accomplish more or achieve more in 2016. I think that we all enter into the new year with hopes and dreams of things being better that they were in 2015. But for us as Christians, I think that we need to enter the new year with our minds set on what Christ has for us to accomplish and how does Christ want to use us in 2016. Our thoughts should be more focused on how I can serve Him more, mature in Him more, and be used by Him more. That should be what we are more concerned with than anything else. 2016 holds many things for all of us, and we dont know what they are as of yet, but Praise God we do know Who does and Who has them all in His control. He has placed each event or opportunity in our Journey for our good and for His Glory. Romans 8:28 states that All things work together for the good of those that love the Lord and are called according to His purpose.Isnt it great to be able to face our future with full assurance that God has gone before us and is walking with us and allowing His will to be done. We can have full assurance that His will is always what is best for us and is exactly what we need to fulfill His purpose for our lives. Let me encourage you as we journey into our future in 2016, to keep you eyes upon the Lord and ask Him to use you in new and exciting ways. Also, ask Him to help you bring honor and glory to Him no matter what the future does bring and that you will trust Him even when you dont understand and even when there may be hard times. Ask Him to help you trust Him no matter what! When we put our futures in His hands, it is exciting because He loves you more that you will ever know and He only wants what is best for you and His will to be accomplished in your lives. “The Laurens Baptist Association is committed to assisting the

churches in fulfilling the Great Commission and serving others

FROM YOUR ASSOCIATIONAL MISSIONARY

So many are celebrating the New Year and what it holds for them. Some are making New Year’s resolutions that they probably will not keep.

2016 holds many things for all of us, and we don’t know what they are as of yet, but Praise God we do know Who does and Who has them all in His control. He has placed each event or opportunity in our Journey for our good and for His Glory. Romans 8:28 states that “All things work together for the good of those that love the Lord and are called according to His purpose.” Isn’t it great to be able to face our future with full assurance that God has gone before us and is walking with us and allowing His will to be done. We can have full assurance that His will is always what is best for us and is exactly what we need to fulfill His purpose for our lives.

Let me encourage you as we journey into our future in 2016, to keep you eyes upon the Lord and ask Him to use you in new and exciting ways. Also, ask Him to help you bring honor and glory to Him no matter what the future does bring and that you will trust Him even when you don’t understand and even when there may be hard times. Ask Him to help you trust Him no matter what!

When we put our futures in His hands, it is exciting because He loves you more that you will ever know and He only wants what is best for you and His will to be accomplished in your lives.

Let’s make 2016 the YEAR that we serve God in a greater way!

In His Service,

Bro Bobby
