For me, January 2015 has both “flown by” and “dragged by.” Looking at the calendar, all I can think of is—it is ALREADY February! But when I look at a month of personal illness (viruses) and the hospitalization of my Mom, I am thinking when will it all pass. REGARDLESS, thank you for your pray-ers and expressions of concern!
We’ve spent the month praying together for the churches of the associa-tion. It is my hope we will pray together each day throughout the year. Please take note of this newsletter! MUCH is coming your way! Training events, church activities, opportunities to serve…..opportunities to strengthen the life and work of your church and the community where God has placed you to serve. In 2015, strive to pray fervently for God’s will to be done in our churches and that more and more of us will become engaged in the life and work that is before us.
TRBA staff/leadership stands ready to assist every church in its efforts to reach their communities for Christ. Look to us for training, resources. Our primary emphasis for 2015—To REACH Them, You must KNOW Them—take some time to LOOK around and see the people in your community as Christ sees them. Share His love and message of hope that is available to all if they will come to know Him personally. God is inviting us to work together as His church to reach our communities for Christ! May we all do more to serve Him as faithful witnesses.

IECS Training
March 27 - 28, 2015
The Church Strengthening Team of TRBA invites you, as ministry leaders to attend the Intentionally Evangelistic Church Strategy training. This event is scheduled for March 27-28, 2015 at Hopkins Chapel Baptist Church. The training will be led by Dr. Don L. McCutcheon, Sr., who developed the strategy. Dr. McCutcheon is the developer of IECS. He began his work as the Executive Leader of the Evangelization Group at the Baptist State Convention of North Carolina in July of 2006 and retired May of 2013. Prior to serving the BSCNC, McCutcheon served as the Direc-tor of Evangelism Strategy Department of the Florida Baptist Con-vention and as an Appointed Missionary Associate in Evangelism for the Home Mission Board. He has also pastored several churches. While at the Florida Baptist Convention, McCutcheon was able to develop the Intentionally Evangelistic Church Strategy, which assists churches in building their own strategy to win their community to Jesus Christ. The Intentionally Evangelistic Church Strategy is based on four prin-ciples: Every Christian is called by God to be involved in the Great Commission, evangelism begins with the local church, churches are different and must find their own way to evangelize their communi-ty, and God wants to bless Christians in reaching nonbelievers. As stated above the event will be held at Hopkins Chapel Baptist Church located at 4525 Hopkins Chapel Road, Zebulon, North Caroli-na. Dinner will be served on Friday night at 6PM and lunch on Satur-day at noon. The hours for this training are: 6 PM to 9 PM Friday and Saturday from 9 AM to 2 PM. Pre-registration is required so that we may plan appropriately. To learn in detail about Dr. Don
McCutcheon's ministry, go to this site: http://donmccutcheonministries.com/

Training
February 24, 2015 @ TRBA 2:00—3:30 PM/6:30—8:00 PM
TWO opportunities to receive important
information your church needs to know about ministry/
church finances and expectations. Through the years we
have learned that as churches have changed leadership, in-
formation is not always shared; there are those who do not
understand church practices/IRS expectations.; even estab-
lished churches with long-term leadership sometimes are
not familiar with the changes that come along. Register by
2/23 so we can prepare. Some changes have great impact.
Recent changes affect church staff and those who work
with finances of the church need to keep informed.
