February 2012 I’m excited about Applied Technology Associates’ (ATA) potential to leverage its expertise in precision measurement technologies into new markets and accelerate its growth in the Sandia Science & Technology Park (SS&TP). Dan Gillings, President, ATA My first impression is that the SS&TP offers a pro-business environment and it suits Heel’s plan for growth. Cliff Clive, President & CEO, Heel Inc. 33 Companies/Organizations, 2233 Employees, $356 Million of Investment Heel Inc. – Cliff Clive was appointed as the company’s new CEO & General Manager. Thierry Montfort, past CEO, will continue to work with Heel Inc. and Heel worldwide as a consultant. Cliff comes with a wealth of professional experience in pharmaceutical and consumer marketing and sales. He has held top positions in the USA, Europe, Asia, and South America when working for Procter & Gamble, Roche Consumer Health, and Nestlé. New Leadership SS&TP Company Leadership Luncheon – The New Mexico School for the Blind and Visually Impaired (NMSBVI) hosted the recent quarterly luncheon. It was an informal gathering for Park leaders to network and learn about the school. The event included lunch, program presentations, and a tour of the facility. The Albuquerque campus, located in the SS&TP, is home to an Outreach Program and Infant/Toddler Program. ATA – Dan Gillings has been named the company’s new President. Dan will assume this role from Tony Tenorio, who is relinquishing his role as President, while retaining his position as CEO. Dan brings over 25 years of experience in providing technical solutions to government customers. His most recent role was as Senior Vice President and Department Business Unit General Manager of the Science and Systems Engineering Solutions Business Unit with Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC). Prior to that, he was with Honeywell’s Defense Avionics Division. Dan Gillings, President, ATA SS&TP – Elizabeth Kistin Keller has joined the SS&TP team as the new Program Leader for the Park. In this position, Elizabeth will be responsible for recruiting companies, maintaining and growing services, and expanding Park opportunities. She received her B.A. in Political Science and Latin American Studies from the University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill. Upon receiving a Rhodes Scholarship, Elizabeth continued her studies at Oxford University where she received her Masters and PhD in International Development. Elizabeth has spent time working on global water resources issues and economic development. From her most recent role as the State Development Coordinator with the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Rural Development Agency in New Mexico, Elizabeth brings a wealth of economic development knowledge and experience to the SS&TP.
