Spring 2012 Client Spotlights We’re happy to announce our new line up of spring clients!

Summer Session at Penn State Penn State's Office for Summer Session provides information about summer courses for undergraduate, graduate, and professional degree students. Through the office, students from Penn State, or other institutions, can access many university resources and summer programs. This year, the Office for Summer Session is offering the first “Summer at Penn State Fair,” to be held on Wednesday, February 22, 2012 at the Hetzel Union Building on the University Park campus. The fair will provide students a chance to see what Penn State has to offer in the summer, from summer classes to on-campus job and internship opportunities. Agricultural Sciences Competition  The College of Agriculture Science’s Springboard Business Competition is quickly approaching, with the judging and banquet being held on Nov. 14 at the Nittany Lion Inn. Currently, our team is pitching stories about the competitors and their business plans to their hometown newspapers. We hope to see these stories published for recognition for the client, as well as for our own public relations experience. Event planning is also underway for the banquet. We are actively working on fulfilling the client’s needs, down to every last detail for the competition banquet, in hopes to offer all the competitor’s an elegant reward for all of their hard work and dedication. During the banquet, the AgSci Springboard Competition winner will be announced and awarded $5,000, with the second place team receiving $1,000. The evening focuses on encouraging entrepreneurship through speakers, professors, and other networking opportunities.  Nittany Co-Op Nittany Co-Op is a non-profit organization that aims at bringing the community together. Nittany Co-Op works with businesses in Centre County to help build the community. This year, Nittany Co-Op will be offering its discount card benefits to students.

Campus Sustainability Office The Campus Sustainability Office, in conjunction with other campus programs, will be hosting an Earth Day Celebration on Friday, April 20 in Alumni Hall in the HUB. The goal of the event is to encourage students, faculty/staff, alumni and community members to celebrate what the earth has to offer while educating attendees on ways to be more sustainable. More information can be found at http://www.earthday.psu.edu/
