This Sunday, February 19th, is Fellowship Sunday hosted by St. Vincent de Paul Society. Please join us in Kelley Hall after all Sunday morning masses for donuts, bagels, coffee, milk, orange juice and fellow-

    ship with other parishioners.

    Dear Brothers and Sisters,

I am very happy to announce that Susan Greis will be the principal of our Saint Joseph Elementary School beginning with the 2017 2018 school year.

Sue Greis has more than 22 years of experience as a Catholic educator. She started her teaching career here at Saint Jo-seph in 1989 as a fourth grade teacher. In 2006 she taught kindergarten at St. Mary School in Alexandria where she also served as assistant principal. Since 2010 Sue has been the principal of Saint Henry Elementary School in Elsmere, Ky.

At Saint Henry Elementary she led the school in cultivating a positive culture, initiating new learning programs, providing opportunities for teacher growth and creating an overall standard of excellence. Her tenure at St. Henry Elementary School culminated in its achieving the National Blue Ribbon Award. Her professionalism and dedication to Catholic edu-cation was recently acknowledged by the National Catholic Education Association awarding her the 2017 Lead, Learn, Proclaim Award. Sue thanked many people for the role they played in the schools achievements and told the students, It is not only my job but it is my absolute joy and privilege to be here with you. There is nothing better than watching you grow in your faith and in your abilities.

Obviously, Sue Greis has a rich background in Catholic edu-cation and proven administrative skills. Above and beyond these gifts, Sue possesses a genuine devotion to the Catholic faith and a commitment to the spiritual, intellectual and physical development of each student in her charge.

I am confident Sue Greis will continue the history of great leadership that has earned Saint Joseph School the reputa-tion as an excellent Catholic school.

Finally, I want to express gratitude to the committee that helped select our new principal: Dan Ridder, principal of Bishop Brossart High School, and parishioners Todd Benke, Brian Callahan, Hollie Lusby and Terri Shields (a former teacher at St. Joseph). Your brother in Christ and pastor, Fr. Gerry Reinersman
