• Emergency Banking Relief Act – declared a bank holiday when people were unable to withdraw money (which meant no bank failures)
• Treasury department now inspects all banks

• Helped young men (18-25) go back to work
• Many different jobs, manual labor

• Helped build roads, bridges, streets, libraries, and hospitals.
