What is the Favor of God?

FAVOR: The friendly disposition from which kindly acts proceed; to assist; to provide with special advantages; to receive special privileges and preferential treatment.

1. God’s Favor is based upon what Jesus did and who we are , not what we do!

1 Peter 2:9-10 (msg)

But you are the ones chosen by God, chosen for the high calling of priestly work, chosen to be a holy people. Gods instruments to do His work and speak out for Him, to tell others the night-and-day difference He made for you- from nothing to something, from rejected to accepted.

Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ,

Through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we rejoice in the hope of the glory of God.

2. God’s favor is activated by our faith.

For God was in Christ, reconciling the world to Himself, no longer counting peoples sins against them. And He gave us this wonderful message of reconciliation.
