Brogdale The home of the National Fruit Collections. Brogdale’s Market Place has a good selection of shops offering fresh produce, plants, gifts, ciders, flowers and soft furnishings. There is also a café specialising in hot and cold food using fresh, local produce.

Standard QuayA ten minute walk from the town centre in a creekside setting, Standard Quay includes a garden centre, tea room, shops selling homeware and antiques. There is a flea market every Sunday.

MacknadeClustered around the award winning store selling fine food and drink on the outskirts of Faversham, is a wine merchant, fishmonger, plant centre, beauty therapist, antiques market and on-site café.

Fun in Faversham In the centre of town, Faversham Pools offers year-round swimming with the added summer-time bonus of three outdoor pools.

For a charming evening out, the town centre Royal Cinema shows the latest films at competitive prices.

Families love visiting the Fleur de Lis Museum which brings to life the history of Faversham.

The town boasts plenty of playgrounds and outdoor spaces along with the Queen Elizabeth Jubilee Centre with its indoor play area.

Award winnersThere are many award winners in Faversham.Macknade Fine Foods, A.J. Barkaway and The Butcher of Brogdale have won recent Taste of Kent Awards. Prince of India has been awarded a Kent Restaurant Award and Spice Lounge a British Curry Award. In addition, the Phoenix Tavern had a best newcomer accolade in the Great British Pub Awards, The Elephant’s beers were commended by the Campaign for Real Ale and the Railway Hotel reached the finals of the Publican of the Year. The Sun is Shepherd Neame’s 2011 Food Pub of the Year and the brewery’s visitor centre is England’s 2011 Small Visitor Attraction of the Year.
