Junior varsity and junior high football teams hit the gridiron
The junior varsity and junior high Mound City Panthers’ foot-ball teams have played three games so far this fall. The junior varsity is 3-0 with victories over Rock Port, MO, Worth County (Grant City, MO) and Stanberry, MO. The junior high is 1-2, play-ing the same schools.
On Tuesday, September 6, both teams travelled to Rock Port. The junior high lost to Rock Port, 40-14. The junior varsity won, 36-24.
Mound City hosted Worth County on Monday, September 12, at
Ceglenski Field in Mound City. Again, junior high lost the game, 42-6 and junior varsity won big, 54-38.
The two teams travelled to Stanberry on Monday, September 19, to play. The junior high was victorious with the score of 24-14. The junior varsity Panthers continued their winning streak with a 52-38 win.
The two teams’ next game is Monday, September 26, against the SHNH (South Holt/Nodaway-Holt) Spartans at Oregon, MO.
