The VOLKSWAGEN contact person should also clarify the following well in advance along with the othertopics. E.g.:

Please note the announcements and proclamations in the partner portals of the VOLKSWAGEN brands

and in T-Systems ServiceNet. You can register there for newsletter to some extent.It is also recommended to see the partner information presentations of the respective brands relevant toyou. Except the first hand information you can also address the suggestions and questions directly onthe partner information presentations.

Documentation is mostly provided for the VOLKSWAGEN additional applications in addition to thesoftware. This should be provided to the user and read if necessary.

3.1 T-Systems order process

Since 01.07.2010 T-Systems has changed the order process for the Volkswagen CAA applications. Youcan create the contract by yourself with the data you provide in the order tool. Hereby you will receivebinding price information from us. This is not an internet order process.

You can order a support package for 400 directly when ordering a license. For new customers theorder of the support package is mandatory. Orders of new customers without a support package will notbe processed!

The support package contains the following services:

Support via e-mail or telephone with integrating the Volkswagen application software

Up to 4 hours supporting time per license period and ordered support package 1 free license switch per license period on reasonable demand

If you as a regular customer wish to order the support package during your current license period thecurrent license must be renewed by 1 year as well. The remaining time of the old license will be creditedagainst it.

The VX1 is CATIA V5 software and LUM (company IBM) licensed. Technical specifications of yourserver (in case of Nodelock licences) or of your LUM server (in case of floating licences) is required sothat VX1 licences can be created.

The target ID and the target type of the server or LUM server are required for creating the VX1 licences.

The target ID can be determined as follows (LUM default installation):

3.5 Licence Switc h (VOLKSWAGEN CAA, VX1)

Processing fee to the extent of 195 excl. VAT is levied for additional licence changes (so-called licenceswitch) for VOLKSWAGEN CAA or VX1 licenses.

In order to assign a licence switch, please use our change form from the ServiceNet. The change form isavailable for download in the ServiceNet under the heading Order information.

Please send the signed form to our fax number +49 391 580 248 942.

The change process will be charged per incoming FAX. This change can consist of multiple licences(VOLKSWAGEN CAA, VX1) which are part of this license switch order.

Dassault needs the filled out form DASSAULT SYSTEM LICENSE KEY REQUEST FORM to changethe VX1-License. This is if necessary sent to you.

If the VX1 licences should be changed several times during its validity period, then only the respectiveprocessing fee of the change procedure is levied.

If the existing VX1 licence expires regularly, it can be ordered on request free of cost. Thereby, a newserver can be entered.

3.6 Purch asing of PX1 and VX1 Lic ence

Where do I get the PX1 licence? How much does the PX1 licence cost?

You can acquire the PX1 licence only through your Dassault/IBM sales partner. The PX1 licence ischargeable. Please contact your CATIA V5 sales partner for details regarding the PX1 costs.

As a VOLKSWAGEN development partner you can obtain the VX1 Licence free of cost through T-Systems if the corresponding VOLKSWAGEN CA applications are also in use with you (EngineeringPackage, Standard Package, VWGNTool).

3.6.1 Process of the VX1 ord er:

What happens with a VX1 order?

T-Systems initiates the generation of the licence once weekly with Dassault Systemes. When T-Systemsreceive the licence from Dassault Systemes, it will be delivered immediately to the development partner.

Note Dassault generates the VX1 licence only if T-Systems provide the following data:

Company and contact personStreet / house numberpostal code, cityEmail address andtelephone number.

With the order, T-Systems grant you the permission to forward this data to Dassault.

Note: A VX1 licence requires a PX1 licence. A VX1 licence without the PX1 licence does not bring anyfunctionality.

In order to be able to use the VX1 licence (LUM), the VX1 software should also be installed at theworkstation.

3.7 VWGRCLite Enhancement of license feature

Since 14th November 2011 every new VW application license (VALIDAT V5, Standard Package,Engineering Package, DoLittle V5, BoM2KSL, VWMetho) is delivered with the additional VWGRCLitelicense with the feature name VWGRCLITE (or GRC_LITE). The VWGRCLite license feature is free ofcosts and is necessary for the use of the VWGRCLite GUI. Nothing has been changed at the licensingmodel of the VW GRC applications.

Separate ordering of VWGRCLite licenses is not intended.

4 CATIA V5 VOLKSWAGEN addit ion al appli cations

VOLKSWAGEN Applications-Bundle and also the VOLKSWAGEN single applications are available in T-Systems ServiceNet.

The applications in the packages provided here and also the single applications are the efficient helpmaterial for adhering to the VOLKSWAGEN norms/construction standards in the CAD system CATIAV5. The adherence to the VOLKSWAGEN norms/construction standards forms the basis for thecoordination with the VOLKSWAGEN group.

Where will I get information about the required additional applications?

Please coordinate with your VOLKSWAGEN contact person regarding the requirement of theVOLKSWAGEN additional applications. It can be different depending on your specific task.

The contextual difference between the Engineering Package and Standard Package is that the StandardPackage does not include VALIDAT V5 Basis.

With the exception of VALIDAT, no single components of a bundle can be ordered separately.

While ordering the Applications-Bundle (Standard Package und Engineering Package) the VTA licencesare already sent today along due to logical reasons. At the moment the release of VTA is not known.

4.3 CA Application s short descriptio ns

At what can the VOLKSWAGEN additional applications support me?

4.3.1 VALIDAT V5

VALIDAT assures adherence to the data quality corresponding to the VOLKSWAGEN Norm 01059 part6. Your CATIA V5 documents are checked with some company-specific criteria for the adherence to thisnorm.For several messages in VALIDAT repair functions are available.

VALIDAT can carry out a structure analysis of the CATIA model.The function for the simplified link analysis (without PX1/VX1), existing since VALIDAT V5 version 2.0.7,became with VALIDAT V5 version 2.3.6 the standard testing method.

A PX1/VX1 license is still needed for automated directory monitoring of assemblies (ZSB, KPR) withVALIDAT Batch (Watch directory). For more details see VALIDAT V5 structure analysis .

The quality of the changed data is evaluated as per the unique criteria with VALIDAT as the checkprogram executes a control of the created CAD data as per the VDA recommendation 4955/4. Thus thequality of the CAD elements and element connections can be determined as per the defined checkcriteria. According to the check requirements tolerance values can be set and saved. The graphicalrepresentation of the check results enable quick and target-oriented search of different areas andelements.

VALIDAT is available in the expansion stage: Basis and Professional. For details see "DifferenceVALIDAT V5 Basis / VALIDAT V5 Professional"

4.3.2 KVS PlugIn

The KVS PlugIn provides like toolbar integrated in CATIA efficient functions for the structure checkof CAD documents, for creating VOLKSWAGEN TAR archives and for saving the data in KVS.

PX1 and VX1 licence are additionally required for the KVS PlugIn.

4.3.3 NTool

The CAA Application name tool V5 (NTool) supports the CAD user while giving standardized documentnames as per the instructions of the VOLKSWAGEN group. The user will efficiently manage the existingand new documents for the correct naming through screens and menus. The naming conventions savedin the profile can be customized according to the individual requirements. With the corresponding CATIAlicences, NTool continuously supports the avoidance of incorrect links.

PX1 licence is required for several NTool functions (see also "Benefit of VX1 / PX1 licence" ).

4.3.4 Netline V5

Netline V5 provides the CATIA users with a function using which netlines can be created in the in CATIAV5 CATDrawings as well as in the ground level and in any section views with the corresponding captionand with the adjustable netlines distance. The application netline provides functions for creating,modifying and deleting the netgrids. The net to be created is using the line type and line width, linedistance, text size and text position as well as the scaling in a panel. The view level is determinedautomatically and the netgrid is created within the earlier indiced points as connection.

4.3.5 OutGen

Outgen generates interactive menu-driven process chain adapter according to the method instruction ofVOLKSWAGEN group.

4.3.6 RPS

RPS is an application to support in CATIA V5 the process for the generation of reference elements.Therefore special RPS features are generated and stored in CATIA models. These features can also bedisplayed in a table.

The application RPS is released since the GRC4.1.1. Basically, you should check with yourVOLKSWAGEN contacts which CAAs and which methodology are to be used. In particular tune whichRPS is allowed to be used, the VEM/ RPS macro or the CAA-RPS.

4.3.7 LTA

LTA is an application to support in CATIA V5 the process for the generation of LTA elements. Thereforespecial LTA features are generated and stored in CATIA models. These features can also be displayedin a table.

4.3.8 DoLit tle V5

DoLittle is a system for creating multilingual CAD-constructions.It supports the constructor online in case of multilingual text entry in the CAD-systems on the basis of acentral company-specific collection of design texts.

With DoLittle, T-Systems has the suitable solution platform ready for the development partner ofVOLKSWAGEN group: a system for supporting the constructor in case of creating multilingual CAD-constructions on the basis of a company-specific text catalogue. The central data base records around85.000 text entries at present; unavailable translations can be directly asked for in the system.

Even if the DoLittle-module is independent of the set CAD-system, the specific integration offers special

advantages in the leading platforms CATIA and Pro/E. The current enhancement level of DoLittlesupports the language directions German English, English - German, German - Czech, Czech-German and English- Czech, Czech-English.

4.3.9 BoM2KSL

The CATIA V5 additional application BoM2KSL provides all essential functions for compliance of thecompany specifications for parts lists and transfers the created parts list to KSL as background processvia XML.

4.3.10 VWMetho

The Catia V5 additional application VWMetho consists of the individual elements ABBRICH; FLANand SURPRESS.

ARBRICH supports the definition/analysis of restriction directions. According to the border anglesspecified by the user, one or if this is not possible under the compliance of permissible angle, morerestriction directions are suggested for the selected restriction edges.

The selected restriction edges are analysed and are marked as IO, warning or critical accordingly. Theresult of the analysis can be saved in the model. The visualisation is then possible, if required, alsowithout corresponding license.

The application FLAN provides functions for ascertaining the restriction outlines of altered components(adapter) in the areas of non-altered blank (addendum) for CATIA V5 and development of upperbevelling parts with constants and with variable radius.

4.3.11 CADGlyph

CADGlyph is a tool for three-dimensional text generation in CATIA V5. The text can be generated onsurfaces with any curvature. The text is associative and always adjusts to the curve selected, even if thetext includes multiple lines. The major advantage of this is that the text is generated with tangentiallyconstant surfaces that are reduced to a minimum. This opens up more possibilities and improves theperformance when compared to DXF.

With the VALIDAT Software, a current criteria list is delivered. In this list, there is a comparison ofrepairing services between basic and professional expansion. Apart from that, it can also be ascertainedfrom this list, whether particular criteria for VOLKSWAGEN are relevant or not.

In the consideration in case of repairing services, the difference is that two of them are only in theversion VALIDAT Professional, otherwise the versions are identical. The following table shows whichout of them are currently available (as on VALIDAT 2.5.11).

In batch mode, it is possible to activate an automatic time-defined check. The specific Directory ismonitored for CATIA Data to be checked. Thereby for example your CATIA Data can be checked overnight.

5.2.3 Enlarged Check Protocol for CATProducts

Since VALIDAT 2.2.3 the handling and the information content of the standard check windows can beenlarged. An example: After selection of the Button "Display in browsers" only the protocols of theselected part are displayed.

These enhancements are only in conjunction with a Professional License available. Thereby this box isno longer visible by using a Basic License. The criteria are still be found at in CATIA specification treeand can be viewed through the Display in Browser.

5.4 VALIDAT V5 str ucture analysis

You can run the structure analysis and link checking of CATIA V5 data locally on your computer. In caseof successful checking of the structure you are guaranteed that the CATIA V5 data is not rejected byHyperKVS due to this criterion.

The function for the simplified link analysis (without PX1/VX1), existing since VALIDAT V5 version 2.0.7,became with VALIDAT V5 version 2.3.6 the standard testing method.

A PX1/VX1 license is still needed for automated directory monitoring of assemblies (ZSB, KPR) withVALIDAT Batch (Watch directory) because the root document has to be checked. The automateddirectory monitoring is only available in the VALIDAT Professional Version.For automated directory monitoring of CATParts with VALIDAT Batch, only a VALIDAT Professionallicense is required, no PX1.

5.4.1 Historical backgroun d

The structure analysis option was not integrated up to VALIDAT Version 1.3.0 in VALIDAT. The structureanalysis took place in the checking process of HyperKVS.

The option for local structure analysis has been created on the request of the development partners. Ithas been justified on the part of development partners that a rejection of the data in the HyperKVS dueto incorrect structure is a big time factor and if this could have been locally checked, this loss of timecould be avoided.

With the introduction of VALIDAT V5 Version 1.3.0, the option has been created to execute the structureanalysis also with VALIDAT.

6 Benefit of VX1 / PX1 licenc e

Where does PX1/VX1 bring a benefit?

VOLKSWAGEN recommends the deployment of PX1 (plus VX1). Since the PX1 licence is not free, eachdevelopment partner must decide for himself, if the functionality acquisition has a benefit for him.

Note: A VX1 licence requires a PX1 licence. A VX1 licence without the PX1 licence does not bring anyfunctionality.

The PX1/ VX1 licence is required, if the following applications/functions are to be used:

Every usage of a non Volkswagen released operating system and CATIA V5 combination is done onyour own risk and will be not supported by Volkswagen in case of a problem.

7.1 CATIA-Infrastructure

With the next GRC release in late autumn 2013 the platform Win XP and AIX 64 bit are not supportedanymore.

Atten tion : Already now for VWGRCLite 4.4.1.1 is the only released platform Microsoft Windows 7 64bit!

History:The support for the operating system Windows Vista 64 bit is no more intended since the VW GRC4.2.2.In the CATIA V5 context there is no more support since VW GRC 4.1.1 for the following UNIX platforms:SUN Solaris, HP-UX und AIX 32 bit.

Which CATIA V4 additional applications are there?

There is a VOLKSWAGEN applications-bundle and also definite VOLKSWAGEN individual applicationsin T-Systems ServiceNet.

The applications in the package described here and also the individual applications are efficient tools forthe compliance with VOLKSWAGEN norms/construction standards in CAD-System CATIA V4.Compliance with the VOLKSWAGEN norms/construction standards is the foundation for thecollaboration with the VOLKSWAGEN group.

How do I find out which additional applications I require?

Please arrange this with your VOLKSWAGEN contact person. Depending on the order specification, therequirement can appear different.

8.1 GII Basi s Package

The GII-basis package includes the GII-applications ENDCHK, NETLINE and RAMBES as well as acollection of IUA-Macros for the CAD-System CATIA V4.

8.2 GII Weld Point s

The GII-program SWPII supports the generation and management of welds within the CAD-systemCATIA V4. The user of this program can generate, modify and manage connection groups like:

Welding connections by spot or seam welds,connections by rivets,connections by clinches.

9 Licence manager FlexNet

The VW CAA programs are licensed for FlexLM respectively FlexNet as licensemanager.

If you have licenses of the type floating, then a license server is required. If you have licenses of thetype Nodelock then a license server is not required.

The adequate license manager could be downloaded at the ServiceNet. You need the FlexNet Version11.10. At the shortlink https://servicenet.t-systems.com/flexlm you will find FlexNet software of the VWsupported platforms and a documentation to integrate a flexnet license server.

9.1 FlexNet version

Since 27.02.2012 Volkswagen released FlexNet Version 11.10.With this version the known problems of version 11.9 have been fixed. For this reason only FlexNet11.10 is available at the ServiceNet https://servicenet.t-systems.com/flexlm . There is no support for FlexNet Version 11.9 any longer.

Technical detail: The provided FlexNet version 11.10 is more exactly the version 11.10.0.3!

Please use FlexNet 11.10 for all VOLKSWAGEN GII and CA applications. This version also contains thesuitable vwagkdoe Daemon.

9.2 Variable VWGRCLITE_LICENSE_PATH

Within the VWGRCLite the licenses are managed using the environment variableVWGRCLITE_LICENSE_PATH. During the installation the value is set through a query for theVWGRCLite license. For licenses of the type Nodelock the value could be the direct path for the licensefile, such as C:\Lizenz_CAA\licenseNL.dat. For floating licenses, the license server is specified withPort@HOSTNAME, eg 27000@flexnetlicserver.

9.3 Variable VWGFLEXPATH since GRC 4.2.0

Inside the old Volkswagen partner package CATIA V5 environment the VW CAA license will be found, ifthe variable VWGFLEXPATH is set. The value of the variable VWGFLEXPATH could be the direct pathfor the license file (for instance a nodelock license with VWGFLEXPATH=c:\licenses\license.dat) or thevariable VWGFLEXPATH will be defined as Port@HOSTNAME (for example a floating license withVWGFLEXPATH =27000@flexnetlicserver). Though Port is the port FlexNet is using. HOSTNAME isthe IP address or the machine name of your FlexNet license server inside your net.

If you wish extensions of the VWGRCLite, so please send us any request in a separate mail. The mailsubject should look like requirement VWGRCLite - e.g. Requirement VWGRCLite V5license selection in GUI.Please do not summarize a collection of enhancement requests in an email. Every requirement is doneseparately. For each request there is an incident number and the associated request number (VW).

We cannot give a warranty on the implementation of your requirement. The evaluation of your requestfor further development of the GRC is the responsibility of the software manufacturer (VOLKSWAGEN).

11.1 One way to configur e the KVSPlugin

1. Create a directory named .kvsi in the directory $USERPROFILE2. In this directory ($USERPROFILE/.kvsi) create a file named caddies.conf

12 GRC 4.4.1 Whats new

The Volkswagen CAD System Management has released the Volkswagen Group Reference CATIA(GRC) 4.4.1. For using by the development partner also VWGRCLite 4.4.1.1 was released with GRC4.4.1.

The GRC 4.4.1 became short term necessary, because an error occurred in Validat version 2.5.9.

12.1 Cessation of the old Volksw agen partner package process

With GRC 4.4.1 the VW CATIA V5 partner package is available at the VWGroupSupply(www.vwgroupsupply.com) for the last time. Even the supply with single Volkswagen applications overthe ServiceNet VW GRC V5 Applications for brand environment ) happens with GRC 4.4.1 for the lasttime.

With the next GRC at the end of 2013, there will be none of those delivered anymore.

Afterwards the development partner Volkswagen will deliver only the VWGRCLite.

It is urgently recommended to evaluate and accomplish the transfer to the VWGRCLite!

Exception for Audi: Since GRC 4.3.0 no V5-Starter package is made available at the Audi EngineeringPortal any more. Please use the provided VWGRCLite with the Audi brand package.

12.2 Dependenci es between VOLKSWAGEN GRC 4.4.1 CAA

With GRC 4.4.1 the applications have dependencies with each other.

If you dont use the VWGRCLite 4.4.1.1 and you proceed according to the previous VW CAA integrationprocedure, it is necessary to install the content of the Engineering Package (EP) completely

Not write-protected VWGVALIDAT.CATfct Files could cause the problem of corrupted data. Maybesome Catalog files will be doubled and stored not at standard path.

In consequence the following error message corrupt feature detected appears if you want to do aVAILDAT Check.

Before you report a VALIDAT error, please check by using the VALIDAT Diagnostic Tool whether theVALIDAT.CATfct files were set readonly.

14.1 VWGRCLite requi rements and prerequ isi tes

Before you install any software, it is essential to read the information and documentation aboutVWGRCLite installation/administration on the page VWGRCLite technical Information .

In extracts you will find this information in the following chapters 14.1.x

14.1.1 Operating System

The VWGRCLite Software is only approved for Windows 7 64-bit (Professional and Enterprise) in theEnglish version with the appropriate language pack. Other Windows Versions will not be supported.

The VWGRCLite installation requires a maximum HD space of 1 Gb.

14.1.2 CATIA V5 basis install ation part

The VWGRCLite does not contain the CATIA V5 basis installation part. The current CATIA V5 basisinstallation for Volkswagen GRC 4.4.1/VWGRCLite 4.4.1.x consists of CATIA V5 R19 (at least thecomplete P2 installation media of Dassault Systemes) with VX1 software, SP9 and Hotfix 86. This basisinstallation is a prerequisite for the VWGRCLite.

You have to procure the necessary CATIA V5 (GA-Code, service pack and hot fix) software from yoursystem service provider. Volkswagen will not supply this to you.

14.1.3 VWGRCLite Licenses

The VWGRCLite is a FlexNet license protected software. To use the VWGRCLite you need a speciallicense (FlexNet Feature Name: VWGRCLITE or old GRC_LITE). In context of your VW applicationlicense order (Engineering Package, Validat V5, Standard Package, BoM2KSL, DoLittle, VWMetho,VWGCADGlyph) you automatically get without further costs from T-Systems CAx service theVWGRCLITE license feature delivered.

As the number of VWGRCLite licenses was not limited by VW, you will get also the maximum number oflicenses. The validity of the VWGRCLite license is coupled to the expiration date of your VW applicationlicense(s). A single order of the VWGRCLite license or a renewal of only the VWGRCLite license is notpossible.

14.1.4 VWGRCLite Appl ication licens es

Please note, that for the applications of the OEM VW Group package (Validat, NTool, Netline, OutGen,KVS PlugIn, RPS and LTA) and for the add on applications (e.g. BoM2KSL, DoLittle, VWMetho) licensesare needed.

However, it is not necessary to procure licenses for all applications. While using the applications, thelicense-technically not activated applications would only show a message about the missing license. Theother functions of the VWGRCLite remain unaffected.

14.1.5 Conditio ns of use

The use of the VWGRCLite as a whole or in its individual components is only allowed to happen in thecontext of a project activity for the Volkswagen Group. Any other use is prohibited by Volkswagen.

14.2.1 VWGRCLite Server-Installati on

The OPT-File has to be stored on the server to have the VWGRCLite run on a server. Thecorresponding variable is: GRX_OPT_DIR.The other files should remain on the client; otherwise the performance would be reduced.The DL_Names must be disabled in Admin-Mode under Common and have to be locked.
