Creating Success For The Next GenerationThe national Family Ties Annual Conference and the Red Ribbon Awards held on 23 November 2012 at the Pullman Hotel in London were an incredible opportunity for the family business sector to celebrate, network, share experiences, gather insights and hear from those at the helm of some of the country’s best loved family firms. A safe, confidential environment, Family Ties provided an ideal forum for family businesses and their advisers to speak openly and honestly about the challenges facing family companies in today’s climate. Our guest speakers were truly inspirational, demonstrating that even through the darkest days, family businesses can come out on top. What’s more, the Red Ribbon Awards celebrated the astonishing achievements of family firms around the UK and were a fantastic showcase for entrepreneurship and innovation; traits not traditionally associated with family businesses. As the only national family business awards of their kind, the Red Ribbon Awards have uncovered some true gems; family firms going above and beyond the success of their competitors.
