Lebanese designer Hanane Hotait’s eponymous label draws much of its foundation from Paris, the city where she has spent most of her life. Parisian women effortlessly incorporate menswear into their wardrobe, particularly the classic men’s shirt. This collection looks to the Mediterranean for an injection of sensuality and mystery to the glamour and nonchalance of French style and attitude.

The designs accentuate femininity while still remaining contemporary and practical. It is designed for urban and active women who appreciate well-made timeless pieces that can easily adapt to the busy or hectic lives so many of us lead today.

The spell of Venice has the ability to turn even the strictest realist into a romantic, and that power was the defining force during the design process of this collection.

The fabrics and embroideries used for this collection had to be equally as opulent as the rich city they were inspired by. Continuing to work with silk, taffetas, and cotton poplin, the designer decided to incorporate velour and flannel to juxtapose the femininity of the other more lustrous fabrics. Always in search of traditional craftsmanship, everything from the materials to production is done in Europe. This ensures a beautiful collection with high-end and high-quality garments.

When asked what drives her to design, Hanane simply answers “I love beauty, but in its most natural form. I mean the real one, the one coming from the heart. There is something magical about it!”
