Fall Line Ski Club
After a 3-year absence, Fall Line returns to a perennial favorite in Vermont on the weekend of January 10-12. We will be staying at the Northstar Lodge, right on the access road. The Lodge has undergone extensive (rooms, beds, carpeting, TVs, pool, lobby, etc.) renovations by the own-ers. You can easily get to one of the many fantastic clubs and restaurants on the access road (get Pickled and Wob-bly on the same night) or enjoy The Foundry located at the base of the hotel property. For breakfast, The Butternut Inn and Pancake House are right next door. And after a great day of skiing The Beast of the East, all of us can relax in Northstar’s huge outdoor heated pool at once.
Killington boasts 6 mountain peaks (at last count), 155 trails cover-ing 1500 skiable acres and a 3000-foot vertical drop. Trails range from the super-easy Snowshed trail to the super intimidating Outer Limits. There are 22 lifts including two 8-passenger gondolas to get you to the top. Among the many restaurants at Killington, you can relax for lunch at the Roaring Brook Umbrella Bar near the Superstar Quad, or enjoy the fan-tastic views at Killington’s Peak Lodge.
The trip includes round trip motor coach to Killington with beer, wine, and soda included, 2 nights lodging at Northstar (double occupancy), and
2-day lift ticket. We need a minimum of 25 people by the December 17 meeting. For those of you with an IKON pass, you can deduct $120.

The book for the month of Oct. will be: Outlander by Diana Gabaldon
Unrivaled storytelling. Unforgettable characters. Rich historical detail. These are the hallmarks of Diana Gab-aldon’s work. Her New York Times bestselling Outlander novels have earned the praise of critics and captured the hearts of millions of fans. Here is the story that started it all, introducing two remarkable characters, Claire Beau-champ Randall and Jamie Fraser, in a spellbinding novel of passion and history that combines exhilarating adven-ture with a love story for the ages.
One of the top ten best-loved novels in America, as seen on PBS’s The Great American Read!
Scottish Highlands, 1945. Claire Randall, a former Brit-ish combat nurse, is just back from the war and reunited with her husband on a second honeymoon when she walks through a standing stone in one of the ancient circles that dot the British Isles. Suddenly she is a Sassenach—an “outlander”—in a Scotland torn by war and raiding clans in the year of our Lord 1743.

Giumarello's has always been one of our favorites.
Maybe it’s the location, or maybe it’s the food/beverages, or maybe it’s the ambience. I think it is everything all rolled into one. So, drop by for their Happy Hour specials of reduced appetizers (they change weekly) and $1 off drinks.
FRIDAY, OCTOBER 11TH HAPPY HOUR AT SEASONS 52 Cherry Hill Mall (Near Nordstrom) 2000 New Jersey 38, Cherry Hill, NJ 08002 Happy Hour Prices are from 3 pm – 6:30 pm
Do you know why their name is Seasons 52? First, their
menu of all fresh foods is determined by the current month which changes by the ‘Seasons’ and secondly, they have 52 wines. Some of their drink specials are: $4 se-lected Beers; $6 selected Wines; $6 Cocktails (such as San-gria); and $7 Specialty Cocktails (such as Margaritas). A few of their $5 Small Plates are: Kona-Crusted Lamb; Cara-melized Grilled Sea Scallops, and Ginger Sesame Chicken Skewers. Some of their food specials are: $8 for Chef’s Flatbread; or Cheesesteak Spring Rolls; or White Truffle Parmesan Fries; or Crispy Buffalo Shrimp; and $10 for Filet Kona Tips.
