Dear Tiger Friends,

I hope this note finds you doing well and looking forward to a relaxing holiday season spent with family and friends.

We have been busy since last summer, but I wanted to take a moment to connect with you to welcome a new team member, Karolina Healy. Karolina joined LSU International Programs in October and comes to us with extensive international experience in Spain, Honduras and Costa Rica. One of her primary responsibilities will be to create a new electronic version of The International Tiger newsletter. Karolina is working on stories now and is eager to send out the newly-formatted newsletter in early 2018. Be on the lookout for it!

I also wanted to let you know that this fall, LSU introduced a new strategic plan, “LSU Strategic Plan 2025.” Historically, LSU and Louisiana have had significant global engagement, but this strategic plan makes “finding solutions to global issues” central to the university’s pursuit of excellence. LSU International Programs continues to expand study abroad opportunities for LSU students around the world, explore synergies and collaborations between LSU and other major international connections, and work fervently to highlight the passion and power of international programs and education on the LSU campus. So please be watching your email accounts in 2018 for a new The International Tiger newsletter that will showcase many of our good news stories and ways we are helping students to learn and experience different cultures, and enhance their opportunities for future success.
