Sundays 9:00 Worship 10:00
“Then Jesus came from Galilee to the Jordan to John, to be baptized by him. John would have prevented him, saying, “I need to be baptized by you, and do you come to me?” But Jesus answered him, “Let it be so now; for thus it is fitting for us to fulfill all righteousness.” Then, he consented. And when Jesus was baptized, he went up immediately from the water, and behold, the heavens were opened and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and alighting on him; and lo, a voice from heaven, saying, “This is my beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased.” Matthew 3: 13 - 17
WELCOME IN TO THE KINGDOM ….Colby and Stella, baptized on Sunday, February 21!!! Colby and Stella are the grandchildren of Linda Sederholm; and the great niece and nephew of Laurie Wennes and Joan Muzzin. Stella’s sponsors are Godparents Bob and Tiff Jones; Colby’s sponsors are Gabe and Katie McCarthy, from the Santa Rosa area. We as a congregation promised, by our spoken vows that day, to love and cherish the children, to teach them in the ways of Jesus Christ and to to protect them from evil. We pray that as they grow in faith they will remember their baptism each Lenten season. (Cont. on pg. 7)

ADULT SUNDAY BIBLE STUDY (9:00 AM)
We are so lucky to have Pastor Dave Stohlman teach from the Bible. He will continue to focus on the lectionary, especially the Gospel for the day: March 6 - the Parable of the Prodigal Son(s); March 13 - The anointing of Jesus' feet by Mary of Bethany in thanksgiving for the raising of her brother Lazarus from the dead; March 20: Sunday of the Passion and the beginning of Holy Week. We will be doing the passion history of Luke with the congregation participation as in the past few years. The goal of lent is baptismal renewal and these texts all have something to say about living the baptismal life.
Want to deepen your understanding and your faith? Please join us each Sunday at 9:00AM before worship in the Library.

A Reading From Mark 10: 46 - 52
And they came to Jericho; and as he was leaving Jericho with his disciples and a great multitude, Bartimaeus, a blind beggar, the son of Timaeus, was sitting by the roadside. And when he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to cry out and say, “Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!” And many rebuked him, telling him to be silent; but he cried out all the more, “Son of David, have mercy on me!” And Jesus stopped and said, “Call him.” And they called the blind man, saying to him, “Take heart; rise, he is calling you.” And throwing off his mantle he sprang up and came to Jesus. And Jesus said to him, “What do you want me to do for you?”
Page 8
And the blind man said to him, “Master, let me receive my sight.” And Jesus said to him, “Go your way; your faith has made you well.” And immediately he received his sight and followed him on the way.
