Ranked among the top 10 engineering schools at public universities around the world, the UCLA Henry Samueli School of Engineering and Applied Science is at the forefront of interdisciplinary research and education.

Established in 1945, UCLA Engineering offers 28 academic and professional degree programs, and has an enrollment in excess of 5,000 students.

Thirty-one affiliated faculty are members of the National Academy of Engineering, more than 60 have received the National Science Foundation Early Career Award, two have won the A.M. Turing Award, and one the Nobel Prize.

The school is home to nine multi-million-dollar centers of excellence in areas including nanoelectronics, nanotech-nology, wireless sensing, green energy, customized computing, and the smart grid, all funded by federal and private agencies.
