EPAF Versus Hard Copy

Initiate EPAF when:- TPT Faculty Member has existing approved hiring proposal in UNMJobs for same or similar courses

- TPT Faculty Member has existing approved EPAF in Banner for same or similar courses

Submit Hard Copy document when:- TPT Faculty is a new hire with approved hiring proposal.

- TPT Faculty does not have available Suffix/Job in Banner.

Common Mistakes or Lessons Learned

Verification of Start and End Dates of Job- Letter of Understanding (LOU) and EPAF Dates

Must Be the Same

Job End Date - Default Earning Section- Must be Day after the last day of job

Must submit EPAFs in chronological order- Process 1st 8 weesk assignment before 2nd 8 weeks assignment

Incorrect Annualized Salary - MUST use Contract Calculator on FCSO Website

Supporting documents must be uploaded

- Letter of Understanding

- Approval to work beyond 1.25 FTE

TPT Assignments Exceeding 1.0 FTE

- Do not submit an EPAF for more than 1.0 FTE

Use different suffix for additional assignments beyond 1.0 FTE

Example: 5 classes at .25 FTE each = 1.25

Submit 4 classes for 1.00 FTE on FTXXXX-00 Submit 1 class for .25 FTE on FTXXXX-01

- Must include course information-Must include UNMJobs Posting Number or

EPAF Transaction Number-Must correct all errors noted by Approver

and/or FCSO before resubmitting
