Center for Continuing Education Clayton State University’s Center for Continuing Education served a total of 23,200 adults and youth in the Southern Crescent and North Fulton County during FY 2008. 7,000 adults and youth attended classes, workshops and conferences and 16,300 adults received workforce education, training and support services to enable them to enter the workforce or improve their skills to obtain new jobs. In addition, contract training was provided to employees with the following companies: Owens Brockway- Welding, Department of Aviation- Literacy, Fresh Express- Management, Clayton Co. Public Schools, Dept. of Transportation- Leadership, Coca Cola-Event Planning, and Henry Medical Center-Leadership/Management. The following non-credit certificates were awarded during the year: Main campus: Event Planning 77 Human Resources 82 Private Investigator 15 Management Intensives 1 29 Management Intensives 2 16 Project Management 17 Certified Nurse Aid 29 Web Design 28 Administrative Assistant 35 A+ Certification-Hardware 16 A+ Certification-Operating 14 Light Commercial HVAC 5 Fulton Center Project Management 17 Event Planning 33 Culinary 17 Private Investigation 20 Landscape & Horticulture 12 Interior Design 5 Screenwriting 6 The Center for Continuing Education is active in the communities it serves as well as with other educational institutions and professional organizations around the state in addition to partnerships with the following organizations: Institute for Reading Development- Reading for Youth Paris School of Performing Arts- Gymnastics for Youth JER Online- Online classes for Adults Gatlin Education-Online classes for Adults Advanced Technology Group-IT training for Adults We Teach House-codes/construction training for Adults Fulton County Schools-classes for adults and Youth

• Clayton State University is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (1866 Southern Lane, Decatur, Georgia 30033-4097: Telephone number 404-679-4501) to award degrees at the associate, baccalaureate, and masters levels.
International Accreditation:
• Clayton State’s School of Business is accredited by the Association to advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB).
National Accreditations: • The Dental Hygiene Program is accredited by the American Dental Association
Commission on Dental Accreditation. • The Health Care Management Program holds the Association of University Programs in
Health Administration’s full certified undergraduate status. • The Medical Assisting program is approved by Commission on Accreditation of Allied
Health Education Programs (CAAHEP). • Clayton State University is an accredited institutional member of the National Association
of Schools of Music. • The Paralegal Program is accredited by the American Bar Association. • The Nursing Program is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education. • The University’s teacher preparation program is accredited by the National Council for
Accreditation of Teacher Education.
