school senior or be attending a post-secondary institution. Must submit a short essay (500 – 1000 words) answering the
following questions: (1) How did your participation in sports during your high school years influence you? (2) Has your
participation influenced your career goals? (3) Has your participation influenced how you relate to your family? Essay

ETS Presidential Scholarship

Eligibility: Must attend an HBCU. Must hold a sophomore or junior standing (based on credit hours completed) at the
time of application. Must be enrolled as a full-time student progressing towards a bachelor’s degree. Must demonstrate
financial need. Must have a minimum GPA of 3.5 (on a 4-point scale). Must obtain a letter of recommendation from the
president of their college or university. Must obtain a letter of support/endorsement from the faculty member,
department head or dean most familiar with their academic work.
Awards: full tuition scholarship
Deadline: March 16th (for application submission), March 30th (for recommendations submission)
BRIC “Go Global” Scholarship

Eligibility: Must be a US Citizen. Have a minimum GPA of 3.0. Currently studying a foreign language. Experience or
desire to study abroad. Not on probation or suspension. Submit a 500 – 1000 word essay describing your personal
language experience, your desire for international study and why you feel that language learning will be a necessity
within the next 10 years. Complete the application form and attach your essay.

BigRentz Engineering Scholarship

Eligibility: Must be a US Citizen. Have a minimum GPA of 3.0 or higher. Currently be pursuing, or plan to pursue, an
engineering degree with a discipline related to design, construction, and operation of machinery or structures (e.g., civil
engineering, geotechnical engineering, structural engineering, agricultural engineering, industrial engineering,
transportation engineering). May be a senior in high school, an undergraduate graduate or postgraduate student. Must
complete questionnaire. Submit a 750 – 1500 word essay on the future of engineering: “How do you see technology
changing or impacting your specific discipline of engineering over the next 5+ years? What excites you most about these
changes? What challenges (if any) will this create?”
