On 16 th January, representatives of Pula County Chamber hosted representatives of the Adriatic Fair Budva and those of Istrian regional events for the purpose of networking and in order to provide additional opportunities for co-operation. Jasna Jaklin Majetić, President of Pula County Chamber, spoke of the high-quality co-operation between Pula County Chamber and the Adriatic Fair which had been dened by the Protocol on Co-operation. “We are delighted to point out our long-term co- operation, both at regional and national level. The Adriatic Fair has been a co-organiser of our appearances at Budva-based Fairs and this meeting is yet another opportunity to provide support to our members on their appearance on the previously mentioned markets, as well as to provide special conditions for the appearance at the Fairs. I am primarily referring to the organisation of business meetings, assistance in identication of business partners, as well as assistance concerning marketing activities”, emphasised Jaklin Majetić. Rajko Bujković, Ph.D, Executive Director of Adriatic Fair, paid a working visit to the 9th edition of Conventa Convention Industry Fair. The 9th Conventa addressed the issue of business meetings, events and incentives, focusing on personal contacts and achieved record results. 149 exhibitors originating from 35 countries participated at the Fair, representing hotels, convention centres and DMCs from 10 countries of Southeast Europe, as well as 170 international event planners and around 100 planners

both from the region and from Slovenia.The award presentation ceremony for the best convention destination was held on 18th January, at which Dubrovnik was declared the best in the category of top 10 regional convention centres. Prague, Istanbul and Budapest were declared the best convention destinations in Europe. Globally, Conventa is a crucial business event in the fi eld of B2B meetings between suppliers and buyers in economic life. According to research

conducted, this type of event dramatically reduces the amount of valuable time required and investment in marketing activities implemented in order to identify potential new contacts and agree on new business meetings.

In addition to representatives of Adriatic Fair and those of Pula County Chamber, the meeting also brought together representatives of Pula, Istria County, the Chamber of Trades and Crafts of Istria County, the Tradesmen Association, Poreč, as well as representatives from the companies Pisinium d.o.o. and STUDIO 053 d.o.o., representatives of the Agency for Rural Development of Istria, Tinjan municipality and Sposa News wedding festival, in addition to representatives from other companies and local government who are involved in the organisation of both local and regional events in Istria.

The Furniture Fair is considered a major business event for the wood and furniture industry in Montenegro.Adriatic Fair provides a successful platform for top quality presentations and promotions

of new products and trends in furniture design. The 41st Furniture Fair brings together companies involved in the production and trading in furniture intended for housing, facility equipping, stylistic and classic furniture, garden furniture, as well as interior design and tailor-made furniture. The presence of international companies and producers, joint appearances organised by regional and national chambers of economy, professional associations and agencies, additionally confi rm the international character and encourage both

internationalisation and corporate activity. Adriatic Fair, in co-operation with state-owned, scientifi c and professional institutions, as well as exhibitors, is striving to provide a high-quality programme during this event, which will additionally increase both the satisfaction and benefi ts of participation at the 41st Furniture Fair. Exhibitors whose furniture has been identifi ed as the best quality, the most innovative and of the best design will be granted prestigious awards by the expert panel at the EXPO TROPHY Furniture Fair.

The Food Fair has been labelled as a UFI Approved Event, which confi rms its special signifi cance concerning both the sales and promotional activities of the food industry and accompanying industries, through which the Global Association of the Exhibition Industry was striving to point out the international importance of this event, as well as its signifi cance for business activities. The Food Fair is dedicated to agribusiness and thus brings together exhibitors from the food industry, agricultural production, wine production and viticulture, alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, Mediterranean cultures, coff ee industry, olive oil, bee-keeping and honey production, organic food, fi sh processing, confectionery products, packaging and packaging materials. It is intended for the presentation of food processing and preparation

equipment, chemical industry products, producers’ product range, importers and distributors of agricultural machinery, as well as of products and services provided by distribution chains.By bringing together the strategic economic branches, agriculture and tourism, the Fair is aiming to provide you with opportunities to highlight the quality of your products and improve your business results. The 26th International Tourism Exchange and Tourism Fair, Equipment for Hotels and Catering – METUBES will be organised simultaneously with the 43rd Food Fair, which provides exhibitors with an opportunity to exploit the benefi ts of the synergies of these

two Fairs. The traditional presence of a large number of audience members, as well as representatives from the tourism industry, media and professional customers both from Montenegro and the region, prior to the summer tourist season, provide an opportunity to achieve signifi cant commercial results in an eff ective way and within a short period of time. • Following a two-year break, we have decided to participate at a forthcoming Fair event, as we are launching a highly innovative product and believe that the Fair is the most appropriate business platform to announce the latest products and trends. How can we attract visitors to our premiere, to use theatrical jargon?• I suggest you announce your innovative event on social networks, through programming of a countdown until the day of the presentation of your new product at the Fair event.

• In our industrial branch, there are highly respected business magazines in several countries. How can we attract the attention of these journalists and motivate the reporting from the Fair at which we will be presenting our new product for the fi rst time?• You should organise and invite a group of business journalists from several countries and host them during the two-day Fair event. Since you will require a substantial budget to settle travel expenses, as well as those of hotel accommodation, you should aim to include another company in the project which also participates at the Fair as an exhibitor. In that way, you would reduce expenditure and increase the motivation of journalists who would be able to provide, in an articulate way, the required texts and reports on new products, solutions and trends presented at the forthcoming Fair event. You should not forget that the competitive advantage of the presence in business (sector) magazines is in the duration, high quality information and quality reproduction.
