    Structure of this review

The Table of Contents is created based onalphabetical order of IPC. The patent applicationsare also sorted by alphabetical order of IPC. A briefdescription of each IPC is shown. We find that the IPCdescription could help deciphering the abstract of anpatent application. If a patent application belongs tomultiple IPC, the patent application will only be shownunder the section of first IPC.

For each patent application, the following informationwill be shown:

    1. App. No. patent application no. it is uniqueto each patent application.

    2. Assignee this is owner of the patentapplication. If there is no assignee beingspecified, either the inventor of the patentapplication own the patent application or theowner of the patent application did not recordsuch information when the patent applicationwas filed.

    3. Title this is the title of the patent application.

    4. Abstract this is the abstract of the patentapplication. There are rules on how an abstractshould be drafted. Most patent attorneys like tohave the abstract based on the first claim of thepatent application.

    5. Pri. Date priority date it is the dateof filing of the first application of the patentapplication (a patent application could havemultiple application dates because of divisionalpatents as well as overseas patent applications). It is considered to be the effective date of filingfor the examination of novelty and inventivestep or non-obviousness for the subsequent

application claiming the priority of the firstapplication.

    6. App. Date application date it is the date offiling of the patent application at the US.

    7. Pub. Date publishing date it is the date of thepatent application published by US. Usually, it isabout 18 months after the application date.

Patent Index is a numerical sorted list the patentapplications appeared in the review.

IPC Catchword Index is an alphabetical sorted list ofcatchwords of the IPC appeared in the review.

    App. No. 20100041518 Assignee

    Title Portable isometric exercise device

Abstract The present invention is a portable isometric exercise device with resistance generated by a springforce including an electronic light or sound indicator to signal that a constant force level is beingmaintained. When a force is applied to the spring and a desired level of resistance is achieved,a continuous signal will be generated to advise the user that the isometric force exercise is beingmaintained. If the force is reduced, the signal will terminate to advise the user that the user has

not maintained the required level of resistance.Pri. Date 20080812 App. Date 20091022 Pub. Date 20100218

    Title Pivotal axis exercise device

Abstract A pivotal axis exercise device which creates opposing forces to provide muscle resistance toselected muscle groups based on a personally selected exercise regime. The device is comprisedof metal housing components attached with metal loops and cable loops to provide a pivotal axispoint which may be gripped and pulled to provide resistance leveraging the pivotal axis point ofthe device, or which may be gripped along the metal housing components to vary the exerciseregimen and to provide resistance to different muscle groups.

    App. No. 20100048367 Assignee

    Title Prone exerciser

Abstract A prone exerciser includes a slide unit disposed with at least a rail, a buffering and locatingmember, a handle, and a pedal. The buffering and locating member is fixed on front end ofthe rail for providing buffering and locating effects to the handle. The handle is arranged onthe rail, between the buffering and locating member and the pedal, and is sliding forwards andbackwards. The pedal is disposed on rear end of the rail and is sliding forwards and backwards

along the rail. By adjusting position of the buffering and locating member on front end of the rail, the distance of the handle and the pedal sliding on the rail is determined. Users are prone andoperate the handle as well as pedal for sliding forwards and backwards on the rail so as to stretchand contract upper part or lower part of the body respectively or simultaneously. Moreover, theexerciser further includes an elastic rope with one end set on front end of the slide unit whilethe other end thereof is inserted through rear end of the slide unit and then set on the handleor the pedal so as to increase resistance of the handle or the pedal while sliding forwards andbackwards on the rail. Thus users can stretch or contract upper part or lower part of bodies withdifferent strength depending on their needs.

Title Wall-mounted home fitness training equipmentAbstract An overall fitness trainer and can be a wall mounted unit that can utilize clip resistance bands as

well as other techniques. These bands generally clip on the unit and onto different handles, barsand attachments to perform exercises. The unit can have a removable/adjustable pull up bar, dipbar and seat. It also includes a spring loaded, pull pin carriage that moves freely up and down avertical spine. This allows for easy adjustment of the carriage and allows the user to attach thebands at multiple angles, widths and levels. This in turn increases the number of exercises theuser can perform on the unit. The unit also typically has an o ring that attaches through the armof the pull up attachment as well as a xbd; O-ring at the bottom of the unit again increasing thenumber of exercises the user can perform. The unit can be attached to the wall with lag bolts intotwo or more studs. Some embodiments of the invention have an adjustable swivel foot that takesthe stress off of the lag bolts and also adds to the overall load capacity of the unit. The apparatustypically has an optional telescoping central vertical spine that splits in two pieces to make theunit easier to ship. The central vertical spine allows attachments to be added and removed using

spring loaded pins or plunger pins. Various embodiments of the invention can have an oscillatingand telescopic bench, a dip bar, a seat, a knee stabilizer and a foot rest. All of these accessoriescan be attached and removed to the central spine adding to the versatility and scope of exercisesthat can be performed.
