The DPharp EJX910A Multi-Variable transmitter is a leading edge mass flow meter designed to maximize
the full potential of flow metering. With its multi-sensing capability and powerful onboard flow computer,
the EJX910A can fully characterize the flowing process conditions, optimizing the total flow measurement.
Dynamic flow compensation takes place within the Multi-Variable transmitter’s powerful 16bit CPU to eliminate
errors in the differential flow calculations. Allowing it to model the flow profile more precisely, any variations in
the flow profile caused by expandability, compressibility, viscosity and density changes are compensated,
along with dimensional changes of the primary element and pipeline caused by temperature. Every 100
milliseconds the onboard flow computer silently calculates and updates the flow model, improving the accuracy
to better than 1% of flow rate while also extending the rangeability to 10:1. A common problem for differential
flow meters is the potential blockage of the instrument’s impulse lines. The severity of this problem will depend
greatly on the user’s actual application. However, here the EJX910A
comes to the rescue with it’s built in advanced diagnostics. Using ILBD or
Impulse Line Blockage Detection the EJX910A is able to take a base
reading of all process variations / vibrations. It will then continuously
monitor the process for any sign of change which might indicate the first
stage of a blockage occurring within the impulse lines. The appropriate
warning messages will be generated so that maintenance can be planned
in a timely manner without compromising the measurement.

a technology. Correctly implemented, they ensure interoperability which in turn encourages
freedom of choice and competition between suppliers. Only then are customers free to choose

Advanced DiagnosticsProcess disruptions normally result from a lack of information. Advanced diagnostic help extend the coverage
from the device to the process, improving visibility. A problem affecting most pressure measurement is the
blockage of impulse lines, creating process blind spots. Here EJX comes to the rescue, with its built-in Impulse
Line Blockage Detection (ILBD). It continuously monitors the process for signs that indicate the first stage of a
blockage. If discovered, a warning message will ensure timely proactive maintenance. With advanced
diagnostics you have fewer process surprises and so less costly process outages.
