Helping HandsDid you know emergency funding for people in immediate need is available from Helping Hands?Helping Hands is an awards scheme administered by Community Action Isle of Wight. Requests for support can be made from organisations that have identified someone in a crisis situation and in need of help to obtain essential items or services.

An example of the help we could provide is:Miss X lived in Ryde with her two young children, in a basement flat which was recently flooded. Miss X was able to save some of her belongings from being damaged by the flood and purchased some items herself. With a limited income, as a recipient of welfare benefits, she was unable to replace the family sofa which was damaged beyond repair. A support worker from her housing association applied for a Helping Hands Award and a second hand sofa was provided.

So, if you work with individuals who may benefit from a Helping Hands Award then contact Kyle on 01983 524058 or email [email protected] for more information.
