About the EBLC
Mission
Increase delivery of multiple evidence-based programs
that measurably improve the health and well-being of
diverse adult populations.
Objective
Create a nationally based organization to build a
strong network of providers of EBPs within CBO’s and to
advocate for sustainable funding streams for these
programs.
COVID-19 context and EBPs
Equity
Communities vulnerable in COVID-19 times are
served by EBPs and your organizations
Intersectionality
Concern about widening the digital divide
Older persons
Multiple chronic conditions
People of color
Limited English proficiency
Poverty
Rural
Disabilities
Social isolation and loneliness
Social isolation
Structural – something we can see
Lack of contact with society
Loneliness
Functional – something we feel
Difference between the social
connections we have and those we want
COVID-19 may create both isolation from physical
distancing and loneliness from disconnectedness
Can lead to depression and worse chronic conditions
Related but distinct - loneliness may have bigger impact

Combo of mailed + phone
If using tech, have one or two leaders and one tech
Lay groundwork for remote EBPs post-pandemic
What’s working well with remote EBPs?
Poll 2
What is working best with your remote EBPs?

Having more than one leader
Providing “session 0” for participants and leaders
Tell us what else is working well in the chat box.
What’s not working well with remote EBPs?
