Middle School ChoirWe are beginning to work on our Spring Concert music! The process is going well, and I love seeing how the students are attacking the music and learning it quickly. It is a blessing to hear their voices continuing to grow and develop!
Middle School Music EdWe continued our GarageBand unit this week. The students are working on the A, B, and C sections of their rondo. They have wonderful ideas, and I cannot wait to see how their songs turn out!

¡Hola!
Spanish 1: This week we watched our music videos and began
working on our new "dictionary" with essential words to know in
Spanish. We will continue working on this next week.
Spanish 2: This week we "started from scratch". We began defining
some of the words in our new "dictionary" of words that are essential
to know in Spanish. We will continue this next week.
Spanish 3: We met today and read a story called "El día horrible de
Juan Pablo". We read the entire thing in Spanish and translated it as
we went. We were able to understand it! Great job!

English – Grade SixText – Our formal study of verbs is rapidly coming to a close. We will next encounter nouns and pronouns. Vocabulary – Due to the special activities on next week’s schedule, vocabulary unit A13 will be due after spring break. Composition – Wanted18: Pictures of the handsome and the beautiful to complete our memoirs. We are currently reviving several in-process pieces; we are also engaging in some creative word and concept building to hone our composition skills. A creative narrative incorporating the complete writing process is on the horizon.
English – Grade SevenText – Our concentration is on the cusp of moving from adjectives and adverbs into prepositions, conjunctions, and interjections.
Vocabulary – Vocabulary unit B13 will command our attention the week following spring break. Composition – We are turning our efforts to a piece of persuasive writing that will incorporate the best of our composition skills.
English – Grade EightText – Our parts of speech plate is overflowing! Pronouns, adjectives, and adverbs, as well as prepositions, conjunctions, and interjections are all part of our universe. Vocabulary – We will focus our eyes and minds on vocabulary unit C14 after spring break. Composition – While we have begun working in earnest on our personal brochures, we are thrilled that the research paper final draft is due Wednesday, March 16. We anticipate enjoying spring break with the research paper as part of our collective memory.
