NAMMA METRO’S GREEN INITIATIVE

Mass Plantation at Rachenahalli Lake, gara Horamavu Lake, Avalahalli Lake & Jakkur

by BMRCL in Coordination with BBMP

As part of Environment Management and Compensatory Plantation plan

for Metro Phase-2, afforestation activities are being carried out by BMRCL,

for planting around 10,000 Saplings with a maintenance period of 03

years, at various locations in Bangalore in coordination with various Gov-

ernment Agencies such as BBMP, Army Authorities, BSF, Railway, NDRI etc .

Critical issues faced regarding Land Acquisition for Phase-2 of the Project

Reach-6 Underground Section

Langford Town Station:- Local Military Authorities (LMA) have sent the proposal for

transfer of 2137.334. sqm of land on permanent basis and 5866.569 sqm on

temporary basis to Army Head Quarters. Matter is being pursued with Defence

Authorities.

Lakkasandra Village Sy. No. 14 and 15:- The re-location of 101 encroachers at

Lakkasandra land is under consideration of Deputy Commissioner, Bangalore

Urban and Karnataka Slum Development Board.

Lakkasandra Station:

Diversion of 900mm dia water supply line completed.

Rastriya Military School Station: Secant Piled wall are being provided as temporary support structures. 48.8% of the piles for station box and 44% of the piles for entry exit have been completed. 11579 Cum (9.7%) of excavation for the station have been completed.

M G Road Station: Secant Piled wall are being provided as temporary support structures. 100% of the piles for station box and 31.8% of the piles for entry exit have been completed. 30459 Cum (31.3%) of excavation for the station have been completed.

Shivajinagar Station: Secant Piled wall are being provided as temporary support structures. 100.1% of the piles for station box and 57.6% of the piles for entry exit have been completed. 81607 Cum (71%) of excavation for the station have been completed.

4 Tunnel Works Progress

TBM 1: AVNI -(Tunnel Boring Starts at Shivajinagar & Ends at Vellara Junction)

MIG welding is going on between middle and tail shield.

Grinding done of top side lifting eye of TBM1.

Gantry's shifted & area cleared of 750T crane.

TBM 2: VINDHYA-(Tunnel Boring Starts at Shivajinagar & Ends at Vellara Junction)

Welding completed of tail shield brushes.

Slurry discharge pipe lines support bracket fixed.

Pipe bracket also fixed on feed pipe line & back flush line.

Top side walk way platform shifted from TBM1 to TBM2.

Stools and wooden boxes shifted from SVJ station to stadium.

Erector walkway platform shifted from stadium yard.

3 Station Works Progress

Cantonment Station:

Excavation work of 64,500 Cum has been completed out of 1,62,000 Cum.

Retaining wall of 243 m is completed out of the 381m.

A total of 90 Nos. of piles for temporary structure have been completed out of 210 Nos.

1080 sqm PCC for Base slab is completed out of the 7600 Sqm.

Pottery Town Station:

Excavation work of 14,750 Cum has been completed out of 1,72,889 Cum.

A total of 740 Nos. of piles for temporary structure have been completed out of 836 Nos.

Piling activity for Ancillary building area has been completed.

King posts of 56 Nos. have been completed out of 104 Nos.

4 Tunnel Works Progress

Casting of segments for tunnel rings: 565 rings for tunnel lining have been cast out of total

3,244 rings.

TBM No 01: URJA-(Tunnel Boring initially starts from Cantonment to Shivajinagar)

Lowering of TBM parts and its assembly has been completed.

TBM No 02: VINDYA-(Tunnel Boring initially starts from Cantonment to Shivajinagar)

The lowering and assembly of the TBM is under progress.
