    About IWF

    To invite comprehensive deliberations on the various

    aspects of water use efficiency and to develop a consensual

    understanding on water use management, The Energy and

    Resources Institute (TERI) is organizing the second India

    Water Forum (IWF) on the theme - Water Use Efficiencyand invites water actors to deliberate on issues related to

    water efficiency. It aims to develop a blueprint for an effective

    mechanism necessary to achieve the objectives of water

    efficiency and water security for South Asia.

    IWF Expo

    A distinctive feature of the IWF is the Water Expo, which will

    provide a platform for the water technology developers and

    industry leaders to display products and services related to

    the water industry. Visitors will be able to view products anddiscuss services and solutions with the exhibitors. IWF Expo

    aims to promote consultations and networking to bring about

    customized solutions to the challenges and opportunities

    under the climate change realm.

    Success of IWF 2011

    In 2011, the IWF with the theme Water Security and Climate

    Change: Challenges and Opportunities, was successfully

    organized by TERI with the support from the Ministry of Water

    Resources and the Ministry of Drinking Water and Sanitation,

    Government of India. The event was also actively supported

    by a diverse range of eminent sponsors. The convention

    represented efforts by TERI to create a broad platform for

    policy-makers, experts and practitioners to identify strategies

    for sustainable utilization and management of water

    resources. The IWF 2011 gathered attention from over 100

    business leaders and 700 conference delegates.
