Our Community Conference
Center is named after
Jonathan Spack who is
the visionary behind the design
and building of the NonProfit
Center. Jonathan has served
as Chief Executive of Third
Sector New England for over
30 years and during his
tenure developed the Center
into the vibrant community of
nonprofits it is today.
About the NonProfit Center
Opened in 2004 by Third Sector New England, the NonProfit Center is the
first mission-based, multi-tenant center for nonprofits in Massachusetts.
The NonProfit Center is home to over 40 organizations in its 105,000 square
feet of office space and shared space. The building also features state-of-the-
art event and meeting facilities available for rental to nonprofits.
The NonProfit Center is housed in an architecturally distinctive property,
listed on the National Register of Historic Places. It is conveniently located
just one block from the South Station transportation center, an easy walk
to the Massachusetts State House, Boston City Hall, restaurants and
downtown Boston.
Third Sector New England’s renovation of the building included a
commitment to not only preserve architectural details that embody the
building’s past, but to restore areas in decline using state-of-the-art
environmentally-preferred materials and design. The Center was awarded
LEED-certification from the U.S. Green Building Council.
