Singer/Songwriter Austin Edwards to Perform at GALA

The FBINAA is proud and excited to announce Austin Edwards as the headline entertainment at the Gala. From Midwest roots, Austin has toured for decades as a solo artist and opener for dozens of major country artists. In 2020, he debuted with Joey Kar as musical group Broken Roots on the biggest stage of the most famous competitive talent show in American TV history, America’s Got Talent, competing to the final show and finishing second in the 2020 competition. Austin recently performed “God’s Country” with Blake Shelton.

Austin is also a member of our law enforcement family, currently serving as a Midwest College Police Chief. He is a first responder and Homicide Detective for the Chicago West Suburban Major Crimes Task Force and finds great personal fulfillment helping other people negotiate difficult times in their own lives.

Among his most notable musical accolades, Austin received the Presidential Award for Patriotism for writing the song “Final Call,” with Sgt. Ron Fabiani which they performed on behalf of the induction to the American Police Hall of Fame. In 2012, he performed for 30,000 at the National Police Memorial in Washington DC. Austin has also performed in multi-state tours since 2014, honoring military and first responders, and was a collaborative artist for The Warrior Song Project.
