What have you learned about technologies from the process of constructing this product?

Imac/MacBook

I used apple Imac and also a MacBook to produce my product, I used lots of different programs on these computors which I will show later in this presentation. These computors where great and enabled me to do all the things that I needed, and also made it very similar to if I was doing it proffessionaly as this is what they use in the actual media industry.

Samsung Netbook

This is the laptop that I used at home to type up all of my text.

Flick Camera

I used this flick camera to be able to get my audience feedback, it is really easy to use and was very simple to upload the video onto YouTube and my blog as it was already recorded in the correct file format.

Scanner

The scanner that I was able to use was the same as the one pictured above and it was brilliant as I was able to get my flat plans that I had drawn scanned onto my computer and was simple to save them as Jpeg’s so I could easiy upload them onto my blog.

Digital Camera

I used a digital camera to take all of my photo’s which was really easy and to put them onto the IMac after could not have been easier.

Tripod

I used a tripod when I was taking my pictures so that the camera would be still and not at all blurry.

InDesign CS3

For the design of all my pages I used InDesign which was really good as this is what is used in the industry so its good to able to have had the real experience of what it would be like to produce a magazine. It offers all the features that I needed to use was amazing to enable me to do the best job I could.

Photoshop CS3

For all my photo editing I used photoshop which was really easy to use. Although it would have been better for me to be able to do this in InDesign but its wasn’t to much of a problem to have to use this.

Illustrator CS3

I didn’t use this program very much but I did a couple of times when working on some text.

Blogger

I used Blogger for my blog. Making a blogger account was easy and I didn’t find it hard to use the site either as it is straight forward and self explanatory. It is good as you can embed all sorts of things like youtube vidoes and also power points.

SlideShare

I used slideshare to upload power points, such as this one to my blog. It was fairly easy to do this and works very well.

Flickr

I used Flickr to upload images and annotate them them and then embed them onto my blog.

Office

I used Powerpoint and also Word to make powerpoints and text documents respectivly. These programs where good and easy to use and allowed me flexibility to adapt work to how I want it.

Memory Stick

I used this memory to be bale to transfer my stuff around from computer to computer. It was very simple to use and allowed me to be able to move around a lot and have my work wherever I want. With a large memory I could save multiple large documents and not have to worry about cables.
