2. Researching my audienceResearching my audience I previously did a lot of research into the audience that other magazines aim their product at. I did this through, Front cover, contents and article research. Survey Monkey questionnaire Interviews with Kerrang and Q readers Reader profiles 3. The majority of my magazines readers will be female, as the models in the pictures are all female, most importantly the cover of the magazine has an image of a girl on her own. This represents the independence of the girl and intrigues females more as there is no overpowering men. Also some of the magazines cover lines are feminine. Such as: This cover line could mean many different things, however gives off the impression of a fashion article. The main article of the magazine is an interview with an up and coming female rock band member. This is a very feminine interest, females tend to be interested in the secrets and deeper personality of their idols, whereas males tend not to show much interest. GenderGender 4. AgeAge The style and colour scheme of my magazine makes it obvious who the target audience of my product is. The main colours of my magazine being reds, whites and blacks. That's 2 bold colours and 1 vibrant colour. The age of the people in my photographs are 18. This is in the age range of the audience of the magazine. The features and cover lines within the magazines are relevant to a teen audience, as its about style perfect blend of indie/rock and festivals, which tends to be attended by teens/young adults. 5. Class and interestsClass and interests I'd expect the class of my target audience to be middle class. The magazine is reasonably priced at 3 (due to my survey results) which is not an extortionate amount of money to expect a teen to be able to spare monthly for a magazine they are interested in. Because my magazine is based around individuality and creating an appearance that you're happy with, I think this is what middle class people would be interested in. Although this may seem stereotypical, lower class teens tend not to put much thought into their appearance, therefore wearing whatever is cheap and convienient, which some may say makes them chavvy and stereotypically these kinds of people do not listen to rock/indie music. If a teen were upper class, or came from a family with a lot of money, they would tend to be more snobby and dress in labels and impressively, which is not what my magazine is about, as its promoting women to be able to dress casually. 6.
