Euclid Creek Tunnel: By the Numbers

• Tunnel

– 24’ diameter

– 17,750’ in length

– 60,100,000 gallons

• ~30 near surface structures

– 10 complete

– 9 under construction

• Shafts: 5 total

– 24’ to 60’ diameter

– 185-225’ deep

• 2,440 linear feet of open cut pipe placed

• 2,110 linear feet of microtunnel complete

– 240 more to go


Construction Updates

• New sewer, Lakeshore BoulevardEast 150th Street to (east of) Collinwood Rec.

– Work completed: Sept 2013

• New sewer, St. Clair Ave. and Nottingham Rd.

– Work completed: Oct 2013

• “Mackenzie” tunneled and lined 5400’

• Operating 24/7 with regularly-scheduled maintenance periods

• Currently beneath Easterly WWTP

• Installing base slab for adjacent structure(Structure 2-1).
