The EU’s TAF Support to the SE4ALL Initiative

❖ The EU is strongly committed in supporting the SE4Allobjectives, and the Technical Assistance is available toassist partner countries in fine tuning their policies andregulatory framework, to accelerate and implementpositively, efficiently and effectively sector reform policieson access to sustainable energy, energy efficiency andenergy supplies, and to facilitate the implementation ofthe investment projects needed to meet the overallSE4All objective of making modern energy servicesaccessible to all.

3. Conclusions
❖ The EU is strongly committed in supporting the SE4ALL objectives andgoals, and to support developing countries, world wide, which arecommitted to reach the SE4All objectives and goals and to significantlyscale up investment in the energy sector; and
❖ The EU Technical Assistance Facility is one of the major instrumentsdeveloped by the EU to implement its SE4All commitments.
❖ The EU TAF is a Demand driven process - The participation ofrelevant parties is crucial to extract the most out of the TAF.
❖ Next steps for EU TAF for SE4ALL in are:❖ Beneficiaries can address their support requests to the EU
Delegations;❖ DEVCO will then mobilize the EU TAF, which would be able to
quickly identify human resources needed (Key and Non-KeyExperts) to support Beneficiaries in the implementation of theirProjects.
