After this Step run the report ESH_IX_PROCESS_CHANGE_POINTERS to publish thedelta index to the TREX server. All changes after the first creation of the index will so bepublished to the TREX. It is important that you the field "Exit processing after" is blankotherwise the job will be terminated after the mentioned time. The field systems might bedifferent (depends on the system you are using - in the screenshot Z2E)

As of this writing please use always option 2 to create the search on the test system. It does not takelong to complete the steps, but will take about an hour for the search to work after you have followedthe steps. If you get an error please log a ticket.

We need the search for the talent management portions. A quick check would be to log into the Portalas the Talent Management Specialist and go to the Talent Review Meeting area. Search for a talentsuch as *00* If no one is found the search is not working.

The creation of the search index takes approx. 1.5 hours - the trainer should consider this

Necessary Prep for TREX:

Steps to run to index the search for TREX. As of this writing follow option two. Use Optiontwo for now.

You have to create the search index in the system to use the search functionality. I have created a shortguide how to perform this: - this prep takes 1.5 hours to complete. But only about ten minutes of actualeffort.

When you try to use the search and get this notification (see below) you have to create theindex in the system.
